This is a common misconception.

One of the hardest things about the red pill, and about this subreddit, is that we're coming from a feminized culture where speaking objectively is very unpopular- and a lot of guys never take this plunge unless they go through something traumatic and then start investigating on their own.

The red pill is trying to look at reality for what it is, and use it to our advantage- things like evolutionary psychology.

Unfortunately to the outsider, it just looks like misogyny, or like we're just bitter.

I'd like to give you an example about exactly why I feel this way about women's personalities.

I grew up in a family with four very smart sisters and a very intelligent mom. I grew up with the understanding that women are communicative, direct, intelligent, and honest.

When I grew up and started dating, that's about where the delusion began to hit reality.

The reality is this: Ask any 18 year old girl something about science, ask her what she thinks about philosophy. Get in a conversation about politics. You probably won't get much.

Now here's the thing- your response will be telling here. "Well she's an 18 year old girl, what do you expect?"

That's basically it. Because she's a girl, and she's young, we don't expect much of anything, do we?

At 18 I had a job that payed decent wages, I was very interested in multiple hobbies, I learned how to program computers, I read as many science books as I could get my hands on, and I began learning about philosophy and determinism and all that great stuff. And if I found somebody with similar interests, we could have a conversation forever.

But an 18 year old girl doesn't have the same interests.

And guess what, a 25 year old girl doesn't either.

And guess what, a 35 year old girl isn't getting younger, and hasn't suddenly developed curiosity.

When I'm out with friends, including girls, you know EXACTLY what the conversation will entail, it's gossip or fashion, pop culture, trendiness, personal experiences. Nothing abstract. They do not chat in the abstract.

Now you can say that's a difference in desire, they don't have concern for things that guys do. But you know, I grew up thinking women weren't limited in their capabilities. And yet, I've never dated a girl who could change her own tire.

I found myself making excuses for women. I distinctly remember thinking to myself on more than one occasion about more than one woman "wow, she's really cool, and really smart, too!"

And I was lying to myself. Because when I told myself I thought they were smart, I really had the footnote in the back of my head... smart.. for a woman.

So where do you go from here? Do you outright deny it?

Well most guys in our culture do deny it. It's not politically correct to do otherwise.

But look at things for what they truly are. Conversations I have with women can be fun, they can be flirty, they can really push my buttons and be witty banter for sure. But you know what two-way conversation I'm never going to have with a woman is? About how interesting special relativity is. How I consider the free-will argument to be moot because time travel causes paradoxes that render the concept nonsensical. Oh, sure, they'll be interested, or at least act like they are. But there will be no two way conversation.

The number of women who have tried to convince me that her chiropractor was the only way to be healthy- or her special diet or lifestyle was important- acting like she was well informed.. you just nod through that. You don't say, "You know chiropractors aren't really doctors, right?" or "You know that placebo you're taking, it's not science..."

It doesn't work. These women are inscrutable. "We're all entitled to our opinions." is a repeated mantra, allowing women to think their opinions have some sort of weight that puts them on the level with somebody who's well researched and enjoyed real stimulating conversation.

But don't get me wrong, there are guys with the same afflictions. The difference here is the incidence rate. I've got at least 10 guy friends that I know I can have an objective conversation with. I don't know even 1 woman (who I am not related to).

Now, before you write me off- understand I do not think this is a physical limitation. I think it's an effect of the sexual market, which dictates that women who are attractive do not need to develop these traits, and instead aim for a guy to provide for them. And it works for them. Women are not oppressed- they're literally free from a lot of the responsibilities men are- to the extent where women have no need for the functioning every-day knowledge that most men have by the age of 18.

Literally, women don't need to know how to change a tire, because men will do it willingly.

Don't know how to balance a budget? Spent too much and worried about making rent? Hey- that's ok, just one post on facebook and see how many white knight volunteers a woman can get.

Women literally don't develop these skills because they don't need them.

If you took the conversation skills, the sub-par intelligence, the lack of curiosity and put it in a man's body- would you hang out with that guy? No! Would he be successful? Hell no! Those things are useless without a woman's body attached.

And so there's where I make my decision. It is literally the body that makes enduring these things worth it.

A wise man once said, "you've got guys to be friends with, don't expect that connection out of a wife, and you won't be let down."

Don't get me wrong, I think women are capable. My sisters, and my mother are very smart individuals. But a majority of women never developed these traits, and they don't need to.

I can accept that. I don't hate women. I just understand what use they are to me. Stimulating conversation is not one of them.

Maybe it's from living in Canada, or that I usually pick up women from University-affiliated dance groups, but almost all of what you described about women is false for me. Yeah, your description does exist for a lot of women here; but there's a lot of dullard red neck men here, too. I find it fairly easy to have really great, stimulating conversations on a variety of intellectual topics with most of the women I let into my life.

And as a deeply involved Deida-ist, I still find your explanation to be sadly negative. You went into a second stage model of relationships, but then slid back into the first stage.

My current girlfriend is working on her masters thesis in Atmospheric Sciences, and spent the last 2 summers in the Yukon for a prospecting company, being heli'd in to build work camps and collecting mineral samples. She keeps up to date on Canadian and American politics, and has a good ground in science and philosophy. Age also loves old music and movies. She runs and does yoga to stay in shape and is a solid 8. We've moved in together recently and our relationship is very easily a Dom/sub dynamic; I run the house like a beneficent dictator and she loves it. I do all the cooking, since it's one of my passions, and she does all the dishes and cleaning. Our sex life is amazing and she submits to basically everything I want, and had some great skills herself. She's bisexual and once her thesis is done in the spring, we're going to see about finding another girl for threesomes. We're both very anti-marriage and she despises the idea of being the center of attention at a wedding. I hardly define myself by having her, but need to counterpoint your assumptions about my life and experience with the reality I am currently living.

Maybe I just got lucky, but keeping a positive attitude and optimism is what made this happen. I know there's no way this would have happened if I walked around with the expectations you've laid out. And if this relationship ends, I'm sure I'll find someone else who interests me just as well. And if not, I surely won't waste my time with the mindless idiots you seem to be have accepted is all you'll get.

You're a lucky man. But if you look outside of your particular oasis, you'll realize quickly why women are the ones who follow celebrities, watch E!, read tabloids, and why STEM fields are dominated by men.

Your girlfriend sounds awesome, you're a lucky guy.

Maybe I just got lucky, but keeping a positive attitude and optimism is what made this happen.

I wish it was that easy. But there is a reason why creatures in the desert develop venom, spines, and why predators are more common in that particular ecosystem. A lot of us men are becoming predators*, we're simply responding to the ecosystem.

It's a desert out there.

So since you've never met a woman (besides your own family) that you consider intelligent you believe they're all that way? If the only way you rank intelligence is whether or not a person wants to sit and talk about math and science then I feel like you're really missing out on a lot of wonderful conversation. Do you like philosophy? Sociology? Medicine? Anthropology? I've had great talks with female friends and women I've dated on these topics. I agree that you shouldn't put up with dating a woman that you can't have decent conversation with, but have you ever thought that maybe you should try talking to them about stuff they might be interested in too?

I imagine that an intelligent and independent woman would pick up on your condescending attitude towards women very quickly and give you a wide berth. Take a step back and think about if you would want to hang around and chat up a person that thought they were smarter and better than you because of their anatomy. A person who truly believes that the only thing you're good for is a lay. That's the reality of it. It's not that every woman is a mindless sex toy, it's that the ones that aren't are repelled by this distorted view of "reality" you've adopted.

... and Chiropractors are doctors. You just sound silly and SUPER condescending when you make statements like that.

If it were just me thinking this- I'd think maybe I'm crazy. Luckily I'm not alone.

Read any red pill blog or book, it's a real thing.

This is an interesting phenomenon that I witness a lot. I make observations about women, state them plainly, and people interpret that I must not be getting laid. If that weren't a sure sign that the female imperative has completely and ubiquitously infiltrated our culture, I just don't know what is.

The ability to analyze objectively is what we're discussing here. Your inability to separate between what is observed and considered verses what is actually acted upon or said is going to hold you back.

I will not comment here about my success or failures with women because I think it frames this discussion in the wrong light.

Suggesting that my ability to observe or be remotely authoritative must be inextricably linked to my success with women is 100% the narrative that feminine mouthpieces keep chanting.

Nowhere here did I say I was frustrated because I just can't get women to like me, that the conversation is bad because I cause it to be bad. This is a subtext that injects itself into anything critical of women in our society. Color me surprised.

As for the Chiropractic comment, I don't consider adhering to science "condescending," and since in context I said I don't say that, i think it's incredibly unfair of you to label me as such. Perhaps you're a vicious murderer because you briefly considered killing your boss one day but didn't act on it!

I'm sure you get laid, I never said you didn't. That's not what I meant at all. I guess what I'm trying to say is that your beliefs will be self fulfilling because the way you think dictates the way you act.

It's a cyclical problem. You met some bimbos, had lame conversation, started looking down on women, and now intelligent women wouldn't want to talk to you even if you do meet them because of these underlying beliefs that bleed through everything you say and write. I don't think that necessarily means you're unsuccessful with women at large, it's just that the women you meet will be too dull or weak willed to be turned off by this attitude, which will further reinforce your ideas that they're all dolts! You don't hate women, you just think they're stupid.

I'm not trying to blind myself to these ideas... I've been reading this sub. I've been reading the blogs that are linked to from here. I am speaking objectively as well. I've met a lot of twits, but I've also met a lot of rather dull men too. I've also met completely brilliant men and women. I'm all for male empowerment, and not letting women walk all over us, or take away our power or something. I just believe that women are valuable for more than just what's between their legs.

While I agree with you on diet pills and supplements being stupid. We'll have to politely disagree on the chiropractors. I have been visiting one for about a year now, and along with exercise, and stretching, I've almost completely resolved all back pains I had been having. I don't think some of the claims are true, like that it's going to magically restore my hearing or something, but my spine feels better than it did with just exercise and stretching alone.

Anyway, they're doctors because they have a doctorate. My English professors in college weren't doctors by any scientific measure either, but you still call them doctors.

I can accept [women have sub-par intelligence, and a lack of curiosity]. I don't hate women. I just understand what use they are to me. Stimulating conversation is not one of them.

I believe you, I just disagree. I don't like to 'use' people male or female. I think that's that part that really rustled my jimmies.

No, I rather not- this comes from experience.

Because each special little butterfly thinks that because they have an alternative lifestyle, they've accomplished something amazing. This is a peeve I have for both men and women (I just observe more women with these types of quirks).

There is no original answer to the chiropractor question. And unfortunately, they stake their entire personality on these decisions, so you can't have a rational conversation about things like the scientific process or double blind studies- so if you discuss any topic with even the slightest level of critical thought, you've insulted them. I've learned to grin and nod at that type of stuff.

I do not apply templates. And it's frustrating here on this sub for me to continue having this argument. This sub exists solely for discussion on the psychology behind the red pill. Of course it's generalizations. Of course not all women are like that, of course there are exceptions to every rule. That's not the point here. The point is to learn about how people and society act and interact.

I approach every new person I meet with an open mind. There will always be people that do not fit the stereotypes.

But that's not what this subreddit is for. It's not for the 10 people in the world who won the $800 million lottery. It's for the 800 million who lost the lottery because there is a definitive trend.

Yep, a lot of 18-year olds are boring as fuck. I go to a University-affiliated dance group with women 18-35 and can often find really great companions with great minds and sexy bodies. Since I'm picky and go where the smart women go, I can find great chicks. I usually find the older ones are better - and being dancers their bodies hold up. What else was your point; or did you think posting a link counted as an argument?
