Found this via a post on relationship blog Hooking Up Smart.

According to a science article, the differences within the sexes are greater than those between them in terms of psychology. It says that the binary thinking often engaged in by most people is mistaken, largely based on old stereotypes.

This poses an obvious problem for Game.

As you know, sex differences are the cornerstone of Game; to say that psychological sex differences are far weaker than assumed calls into question a lot of Game's wisdom regarding attraction and personality. Males aren't really one way, and neither are females, according to this article.

However, note this, taken from the science article (not the Hooking Up Smart post):

Several limitations apply to this research. First, our findings are necessarily limited to the particular domains we examined; it is possible that other domains might reveal taxa. With the exception of the anthropomorphic and physical strength measurements, our analyses were limited to self-report measures. It is conceivable that the dimensional model fits how men and women see themselves but that analyses of actual behaviors would be more likely to reveal taxa (as our analyses of anthropometric and athletic behavior did).

(Emphasis is mine.)

If Game bloggers want to maintain their credibility, they must address this somehow, because it will be used, essentially, as a refutation of Game and of any assertion about sex differences. If it cannot be refuted or contested on its own merits, then we must change our way of thinking to align with the truth, rather than provide an alternative set of pleasing fantasies.
