Hey I'm Danish so maybe I can give you a heads up on the situation in northern Europe. Scandinavian women are not that ideal (German women are similar, but perhaps a bit more traditional in comparison), some might like asian guys, if you're masculine. If you're a blue pill faggot pretty boy, maybe you can get a girl as well (but she will most likely cheat on you and rationalize away why she did it like most women do with their blue pill partners). Mainstream women in northern Europe are feminists though - so independent and strong (dependent on the state instead of men), but it's a different type of feminism compared to the feminism in the anglosphere (less severe, but still obnoxious, especially in Copenhagen). I do see some Korean guys (adopted) doing well with some girls. In Denmark, however, the obnoxious feminism is less severe than in Sweden (except maybe in the capital city area) as the equality obsession is less deceptive and hypocritical than it is in the anglosphere (where it's almost sociopathic) and places like Sweden.

TL:DR You won't find a large % of feminine women in northern Europe, although many have good genes, they don't know how to flirt or make themselves sexy for the men in a way that the eastern European women that I see at my campus are capable of. A lot of men are also a bit clueless and afraid to make demands of women and put them in their place.

My sister who is a blue-eyed blonde and quite attractive did have a tall (6'3) Chinese/Vietnamese boyfriend so maybe there's hope, although he was born and raised in this country. If you have decent looks and personality, attractive (red pill) traits, you'll do fine.

I've never been in the US or Canada, so I can't compare.

German women dress less feminine compared to Eastern European Countries. They prefer a comfortable look and natural make up. Most of them only get dolled up for special occasions or if they go clubbing. To say that German women are fat or ugly is nonsense. I think we are far more uptight in Germany than the United States regarding sexual relationships. It's uncommon to have casual sex or a fuck buddy. It depends on the location. Big Cities are more promiscuous than rural areas, but this applies to every country worldwide I think.

I don't see any problems with your ethnicity. I would say the fact that you are American will exceed your Asian background

Germany only:
You will likely see less bitching and zero accusations of misogyny. Feminism is not present in day to day encounters.
There is no real hook-up culture here.
Full open "alpha" behaviour as described here will not get you that far. Overly aggressive aproach and negging will most likely result in a swift rebuff.
Be confident but friendly. It's very unlikely to be bitched at just for opening a conversation.
Conversations can be very direct, neither women nor men will hesitate to tell you what they don't like. Therefore the impression that Germans are cold and unfriendly. We're not, we just take our time. Behaviour might also vary greatly in different parts of Germany.

Since you're asian this might attract some curiosity, for good and for bad. Don't be fooled: We're still quite racist, after all. It could be worse though, but you're not black.

Lived in Berlin and Vienna and am of Scandinavian heritage; if you were a women, you'd get awesome play in those countries; being an asian male, you have tremendous roadblocks in your path. There are certainly women who will get with you, I knew an Austrian girl that would only fuck Asian guys because she though they were cute, but those are rare. Learn to dance and be brash, they won't be expecting it. You'll have a much better chance as a 'westernized' asian male, so approach with that out there early; they don't like 'traditional' asian men as much.

Germany women are more direct which can come off as cold and humorless, but you need to learn to adapt to the culture and they can be as funny and attractive as anyone else and more eager to jump into bed if you can game them well. The opportunities are there if you make them, but you will have some obstacles to overcome.

Go to Berlin if at all possible, stay away from Sweden; Berlin is cheap by European standards and very cosmopolitan, so you can meet tons of open minded women from all over the world. You might find a nice eastern european girl there too. Also be aware that there is a huge Vietnamese population in Berlin, they were refugees from the Vietnam War and East Germany took them in. If your German is good enough you can play yourself off as a Germanized Asian guy, which should help you. Also you can game German-Asian girls, of which Berlin has many.

I'm half German myself. Go there every year. In my opinion, they are better than British or Canadian.

I find, however, that they aren't the best at flirting, but can be forward, especially after a few drinks. That's my experience. Not sure if you'll find the same. Be a charming cunt, works for me.

As an expat living in western europe I'd suggest the moment you arrive quickly find all the expat/couchsurfing/language groups you can and kick start your social life. Typically in these situations you'll meet a load of other foreigners trying to find their feet, all looking to meet new people. This will put you amongst a large number of nationalities and really it's fish in a barrel - new students, loads of girls working as nannies for 6-12 months, etc. I've met lots of interesting people this way - cool guys wanting to travel, people with business ideas, hot girls etc.

Also from what I recall Berlin is hugely multicultural, so you'll have far more options than just german girls (though I've met some stunning german girls).

You're gonna have an easy time in Germany as an outgoing foreigner. If you're not outgoing, better forget it. German women love something exotic, especially those young liberals.

The German women in general do not take care of themselves as you might be used to. In universities you'll find a shit ton of leftist hipsters. There are luckily a generous amount of exceptions. All are less slutty and bitchy than american women. Big cities have a surplus of women.

You may enter bars from 18 on, so around universities there are usually a ton of them. Always good to meet people there. Be careful, we can drink a lot.

That said, Berlin guys are pretty feminine - skinnyfat, white knights, low confidence - so you'll be considered more attractive.

Germany is awesome, if not only for the women (which are also gorgeous).

As some others have said, I would categorize German gals in the "plain Jane" kind of look. Don't expect them to be dolled up or looking smoking hot on a weekday running around town. The good news is that most German girls (that I remember) are beautiful.

Be nice to them, they can be shy and reserved at first. Remember that a lot of German guys are tall, handsome types and you'll have more to compete with. The overall attitude in Germany is what I would call "a relaxed tension". Most people are reserved, until the beer cart rolls out. Get up on your German music, they love the techno/house/dub scene.

Universities and schools (like in the US) are a gold mine. Young German (and other European) girls looking for fun, just like here.

German here, born in Budapest: Having traveled a lot i can say that german girls are pretty good. Most has already been said. Don't act to caveman, be "alpha nice". When the ice is broken, slight teasing always works. Yes, they seem a little hard to crack, but they just take i a little slower, nothing wrong with that. Never forget though: AWALT ;)

I found on average the men in Germany looked better than the women in a relative smv comparison... but it might have just been the area I was around.

Maybe I'm conflating it with Norway, but iirc, everything is expensive in Sweden compared to Germany -- boos, foods, etc. Women are attractive though.
