I'm riding an Uber home after a killer night out. Went solo, helped by the fact I've been feeling on top of the world lately.

At first, the bars were dead. I bounced from one to another. But eventually I came back to one that had a decent crowd and found a spot at the bar next to this older couple.

I had never fully realized it until tonight, but a lone wolf can become more than that by recruiting strangers to his cause. I chatted up the older couple, just looking for conversation. They were cool as shit – beauty about older people is they won't view a younger guy as a threat or annoyance if you are friendly and sociable.

As I talked and laughed with them, I noticed girls already looking my way. We were having way more fun than anyone else, and this is absolutely key. Hot girls with their boring-ass boyfriends kept stealing glances.

Then finally I saw this super, super cute girl walk by and mentioned to my new friends that she reminded me of an ex. The man of the couple I was talking to said, "Want us to introduce you?"

I said why not? Didn't think it would amount to anything, but the man had the idea to have his woman ask for me. This is also key! Women will trust a fellow woman much more than a man.

So the older woman gets this girl's attention, I see them talking. Next thing I know the girl is looking right at me, open facial expression. I gave a little smile and nod. She came over. I introduced myself.

I was fucking IN. I could just see it all over her face and body language. She sat next to me, and although she was going to be leaving with her friends soon, I got her number and a promise that she'd go out dancing with me. As she started to get up, I looked straight into her eyes, said "nice to meet you," and gave her a kiss on her cheek. She practically melted. Then I ghosted the fuck out of there rather than waiting for her to leave, before I could fuck anything up.

It hasn't been that easy in years. I suppose you could categorize the interaction that helped me as "social proof." Older woman asked the girl if she was with anyone, and when she said no, she just told her I thought she was cute. That was it, fellas. All the bullshit cut away in an instant.

The best part is, with a number and a clearly down girl in my pocket, I fucking attacked the night like a savage. Went to a dance club and nearly stole at least three girls from their men. I probably would have taken a girl home if every one of them hadn't been already taken, but holy shit were several of them tempted to ditch their men for me.

Toward the end of the night, feeling awesome, I rolled into another club and went straight to the dance floor. Just got the fuck down in the middle and everyone parted to watch. This one chick started dancing with me – pawed at my chest and gave me her back, etc. Funny thing is she split off at one point to dance with this guy who had clearly brought her there, but with a victory already in my pocket I didn't care. Then when I saw her later waiting for the bathroom after me I asked if she was with that dude. She said "I'm not with ANYONE."

Danced with her again, the dude came back and pulled her away. I didn't even give a shit, she wasn't as hot as the girl whose number I got. But it's amazing – she was clearly there with a guy and without hesitation told me she wasn't. Had I played it more aggressively, I could have stolen her away completely.

But here's the kicker. I already have a woman, and I don't mean the one I just met. I went out with true abundance mentality, not giving a shit if I met anyone, and it showed. And now, with this new girl, I've got something exciting to look forward to soon.

So, to sum it up: you can pick up girls when out solo with little problem if you play it right. Make new friends, have a good time, and just own the night.
