Hello everyone! This is the first time I post on reddit and I'm really looking forward to some great comments. This may not be the most appropriate place to post this but this subreddit shares my mentality very well. This is my situation:

Currently at UF right now and about to graduate with Biochemistry degree (Spring of 2017). I plan on attending pharmacy school the following Fall (same year) and I could not be more excited. I love the career field and it fits me so well. That is my academic side speaking though. When I'm out of the classroom I love spending time with my friends, going on road trips, and travelling. I literally am obsessed with traveling and trying out new things. I'm interested in just about anything new from learning how to cook sushi to climbing Mt. Everest. I follow about a dozen bloggers on youtube who have quit their jobs and are now sailing the world with their hot gf, and overall just living it up. Even going to the Florida Keys to sail the weekend was a huge high for me.

I know very well that my time on Earth is limited and I need to make use of it. I know that my career field allows me the opportunity to help thousands but I'm worried that I will forfeit my opportunity to enjoy what I want to enjoy. For me to not take a gap year, go through 4 years of pharmacy work (and then another 2 of residency) only to get a 9-5 job with shit hours and hardly any vacation is a death sentence for me. I refuse to do that. I want to be with my friends, I want to be by the water, and I want to enjoy life on my terms. I will not forfeit my gym schedule or weightlifting routine for a paycheck (s/o to the red pill for influencing my life).

So with that being said, I want to hear what you all have to say. Comment anything, literally. I'm torn with what to do. My on going solutions to this situation I've put myself into is to take advantage of every long weekend to travel somewhere (especially winter and spring breaks) and other small road trips. I'm sure some people on this site must of had the same problem.
