That's the great thing about a hamster. It doesn't need logic to function, it creates it's own logic. In their own eyes, they've become "smarter" and are "ready to settle down", "wiser" if you will. They don't need all the alphas anymore, they're now looking for a "real, responsible, honest man."

That's of course not going to stop them from still fucking alphas once they're married though. But that'll be just because "My husbands's never there for me" (because he's working all day to finance their lazy asses), or "I was drunk and it wasn't serious" or because "he raped me".

They don't lust towards betas, they lust after their resources, because they know that beta resources are they only resources they'll ever get access to. They'll still fuck alphas - hence the saying, alpha fucks, beta bucks.

Just a theory.

I think they hit an age, or mindset, where they need a "I'm in control of my life" display. You know; "I'm all grown up look at me play house". This is easier with the beta provider.

Plus, as the biological clock dictates it's time to squeeze out a baby to impress their friends with. This is also easier, more easily controlled, with a beta provider.

In my humble, and potentially useless, opinion it's all about outward appearances and pleasing their social circle and/or family; white picket fence, mortgage and the perfect cardboard cutout of a man.

Thinking that they "grew up" and matured in someway, and have learned to like something "superior."

A friend of mine recently did this; she will go on and on about how amazing the guy she's with is, while secretly contacting an alpha ex, and knowing that without the "amazing" guy's status/position, she'd never be with him (one time during an argument I asked her if she would still want to be with him if he worked at Walmart).

That said, maybe a girl was able to eat it twenty years ago and stay with her beta provider but I think with the progression of modern feminism, smart phones/Facebook, and a roided hamster, this post-wall meets provider situation is about to become explosive.

First of all, women don't know about these concepts such as "beta provider," alpha, or "nice guy." They just feel. They just "like" a guy and they don't know why. If you've ever talked to a girl in the throes of this, they will say things like "I don't know why I like him, I just do." These are primal, subconscious emotions. So a woman doesn't wake up one day and say to herself "I need to find a beta provider."

There is nothing to explain. They have to. Women (and most people) see life as a negotiation. They want to get the best thing they can get in return for as little as possible. That's why you have to approach relationships like a negotiation. I give you X, and I expect Y back. That's how marriage was structured in pretty much every society until the modern world shit all over it.

Women are not only guided by their sex drives. They need other things too: attention, stability, affection, etc... When they are younger and hotter they think they can get that from the "alpha" male but when they are older they realize they can't so they settle. It's not rocket science. That's why a lot of "sluts" have huge egos - they think that alpha males will return their affection, love, etc..., so that's why they fuck them.

It is cognitive dissonance plain and simple.

If you are not familiar with this concept it goes like this: You can't change past behavior, but thoughts/rationalization for the behavior can be modified at any time. Especially when the behavior is not congruent with how you think of yourself/personal beliefs.

So in essence, one possibility is a women hitting the wall will simply convince herself she was always attracted to the certain type of man (e.g. Beta) she is marrying.

This is the point. A married woman met me the other day, flirted told me how she liked me, and gave me her number. I don't need to meet her beta husband to know what sort of man he is.

At the end of the day, women will always be attracted to other men, and men will always be attracted to women. Were animals. If you ignore talk and clothing etc, I want to fuck that woman over there if im attracted to her no matter who shes with or whatever.

I have thought about this quite a bit. I do not think they change that much, all that changes is their options.

I think there is a larger piece of this puzzle but to grok it you have to throw out the terms alpha and beta. No one is truly alpha or beta, those are adjectives to describe traits. What it really boils down to is masculinity. A particularly feminine woman will desire a strongly masculine man. And in him, she will remain feminine because there is balance. As women hit the wall they are forced to become more masculine. They must take of themselves, must pay their rent, they must grow up, they are forced to become more masculine themselves, therefore the polar opposite of them is not the super masculine man, it is watered down version of that. Just as she is the water down version of her feminine self.

So what does watered down masculine look like? Ok, what are masculine traits? builder, protector, creator, decision maker, provider, conqueror, leader. Yes, that's right, provider is in there. In the past, it was the mans job to go out and hunt and provide. It is a masculine trait, a watered down one but in there. It attracts woman because woman are fundamentally security seeking creatures. As her feminine side waters down, she finds weaker men attractive that she would not have considered before.

Don't forget that for many of them at this point they may have also figured out that can't live too well on their own- bad career choices, not good at big decisions (home, car, investments) and start to get a little nostalgic about when they lived at home and they were taken care of.

Sometimes it's not a beta who may be a provider- it's that they want a provider. Picking a lower tier guy (beta, whatever you want to call it) makes them feel secure ("He'll never leave me, I'm too awesome) and make the hamster feel the other hamsters won't go after what she has.

Keep in mind I personally know a guy (pretty beta) who in his 40's divorced his hot wife about 10 years younger than him because she just broke his balls non-stop. Did this after about 3-4 years of marriage. Every man has his limit- including some of the ones who everyone would say "oh, he's just the nicest guy! He's nice to everybody".

Sometimes the level of beta-ness simply can't be ignored.

A friend of mine came and visited me from Europe. He's very much a world traveler and does things frequently on a whim. As you can imagine he has no problem getting girls.

We went out with a group of people, including one of his former hookups, and her husband. She had recently gotten married to him, and this guy had beta written all over him. He was older than her and more established, but had NO personality, was balding, out of shape, etc. He kept trying to white-knight even though my buddy stole the show for the night, and he looked visibly upset in a brooding way.

When the husband was in the bathroom or somewhere else in the bar, my friend, who will say whatever the fuck is on his mind, said exactly what everybody was thinking.
