TL ; DR : Hypergamy is an overrated notion. Real men do not need hypergamy to act. Hypergamy only works on mediocre men with no passions.

The general assumption is that hypergamy is a female mechanism that propels our species forward.

I have given this assertion some thought and I partially disagree. Hypergamy only helps maintain society, not drive it forward. I think hypergamy is overrated.

Here is why.

First, hypergamy is not specific to the female, we also want to get the best reproductive material. The difference is that we trade for younger females while women trade up in terms of social power.

Second, and most important, only losers will respond to women's hypergamy. Only losers need to be motivated by fear of not getting/ losing access to pussy to get to work. Champions have passions that they will relentlessly pursue regardless of women. Do you honestly believe Tesla, Einstein, Musk started their endeavors just so that they could bang women ? Hell no. Chumps, on the other hand, have no inner drive and therefore need fear to wake them up. I believe what confuses people is that there is a mid-point of moderately driven individuals who will work both out of passion and pussy access aka happy BB.

Champions do not need bitches to get out in the field and only champions drive the species forward. Only the likes of Musk move us up the ladder of human progress. Hypergamy makes sense but it is not that invisible hand that makes us evolve towards progress. It is man's energy and capacity to define and undertake grand projects that does. Hypergamy is only a stick that makes passionless males get to work.

What's more, today's hypergamy tend to favor primitive masculine traits over skills. Unchecked hypergamy leads women to go straight to good genetic material and / or pure, primitive masculine traits which leads a dysgenic progression of the population ( as can be seen by the plummeting average IQ since the advent of the welfare state).

In conclusion, forget all that stuff about hypergamy. Hypergamy today only means women will chose the most masculine man ( which I think is good because it makes things easier in a way), it makes no sense civilization-wise. Women's selection process now operates on a purely primitive level and, even in the old days of restrained hypergamy, it never got us directly farther.

Stop paying attention to this hypergamy talk. Focus on being the best version of yourself just because you want to be the best version of yourself. Work your ass off for yourself and for the advancement of whatever project you want.
