When you become successful with TRP, almost inevitably you will start to feel like an imposter. It will be hard to accept that you are the person you envied only a few years ago. Ultimately you need to embrace it, accept your new self, and take what you deserve, otherwise you'll hold yourself back.

This post was inspired by a moment last night while out with a plate and some friends for bar trivia. This girl is probably the most attractive girl I've ever fucked. She's an easy 9 in anyone's book, and a girl I wouldn't have expected to give me the time of day two years ago as a skinny fat, unconfident mess. I felt old emotions seeping back into my brain. "How in the ever living fuck is this girl interested in me?" I thought. Every guy at the table is mesmerized by her. Every guy at the bar wants to fuck her. How the fuck am I the one she wants to fuck right now?

How can I rationalize that now I get more than I "deserve" just because I decided to throw away the rule book society gave me and pursue my own self-interest exclusively?

Truly, I felt like an imposter in my own skin. I felt again like the 135 lb blue piller dreaming about spending a lifetime with a girl who's already let some guy from work feel her insides. I felt that at any moment my fucking gorgeous plate would start wondering why she ever let me fuck her. We talk about the five stages of red pill, but I'd like to explore a related stage that comes soon after acceptance. Even once you've accepted how women are, and how they will inevitably act, you still have to learn to accept your new self. You have to stop putting restraints on your own success and thinking about whether or not you "deserve" the things you have.

Max's Story

Guys hold themselves back because they don't believe an improved version of themselves fits the way they see themselves. Let me give you an example. I have a friend who we'll call Max. Max is a very intelligent guy, but has always been somewhat shy and nerdy. In college he decided to improve himself. He put on about 30 pounds through lifting and eating right. He started dating more and excelled in school due to his better time management skills. When he graduated, he worked for a startup and developed a taste for entrepreneurship. When the startup went under, he decided to go back to school. He narrowed it down to two options: an engineering PhD or an MBA. I urged him to go into the MBA program, but he was drawn to the PhD despite not loving research. He later dropped out of the PhD program, and he confessed to me that he didn't choose the MBA because he couldn't see himself in that role. He knew he was qualified, and he knew he was interested, but he associated that role with guys who were more "masculine". He put himself in a box and stayed there, despite being fully capable of breaking free. Now he's cleaning up after his own mistake and pursuing an MBA several years later.

When you can't rationalize your new success you tend to hold yourself back. This is a consequence of "imposter syndrome" and I believe it's a feeling every successful red pill man will encounter. It's not a bad thing. It means you've made real, tangible changes to your life through hard work and dedication. Just remember,

  • TRP does not make your accomplishments fake. Everything is out in the open for everyone to see. They know you lift weights and work on your appearance. They know you put your heart and soul into your career success. Maybe you're not a "natural alpha," but that's unimportant.

  • If she wants to fuck you, who are you to tell her she doesn't?

  • No matter how good things get, never forget to keep improving yourself.

  • Actions are what matter, not thoughts. If you are acting confident and interesting then you are confident and interesting. It's not debatable.

Two years ago I would've fallen head over heels for this plate, made her my oneitis, and slowly bent my frame to conform to hers until she broke mine and left. Now, I'm simply enjoying her, knowing that it doesn't matter if I "deserve her" or not. It only matters that I can have her, and if tomorrow she decides we can't fuck anymore, or I decide to stop fucking her, I can have another girl just like her.

By following the advice you read here and putting in a ton of work as advocated, you will improve yourself. It's not a lie and it's not a mistake. Just take what you earned and don't look back.
