I have been a lurker on TRP for 6 months and fully committed to transitioning 3 months ago after plenty of reading and research on this sub.

I started with lifting and there has been a visible change in my physique over this time period. After noticing this, I decided to experiment on Tinder. I was on the app before I began my journey and I barely got any hits with most of them being bots.

Anyway, fast forward to 2 weeks ago, I post up 2 photos on Tinder- 1 headshot and 2 full body (t-shirt and denim jeans). To be frank, my daughter who is 5 took the 2nd photo, so it was nothing professionally done.

As soon as I posted this, the hits started coming in. I was slightly surprised by this. I mean I swiped once a day and got about 10 real hits in a span of 3 weeks. The good news is I got hits, the bad news is that 1/10 came through. The rest either flaked out or did not respond to any of my overtures (which is OK, I understand that rejection is part of the game).

Anyway I met up with the single hit. She is smart, had a great rack, average face, and was my height. We ended up meeting at a local spot and then I moved her to my crib. A little Netflix and Chill and then I moved her to my room. The rest is history.

My point is that, I am so glad that I found this sub to give me that extra shot in the arm to get my act together.

I am by no means a great looking guy (short and a minority). Being average looking and a minority on Tinder had some pretty high odds stacked up against me, but I kept my cool and held my frame. I was not impatient with this woman and I certainly did not put her on a pedestal.

This journey continues like my life depended on it. I am in my late thirties, have a new six figure job lined up, got divorced a year ago, have 2 kids that we share custody, and YET I committed to making the time to improve myself mentally and physically. I do not say this to brag, but I want to share my successes with anyone out there that it could motivate THAT THEY CAN DO IT TOO.

The biggest takeaway from this for me (LESSON LEARNED) is stay on course and commit to the cause. I know I will.
