I am quite the unsympathetic and unempathetic guy, which makes things easier to spot myself when I use emotional reasons.
Most people are morons, we all know this.
But why is this?
Its because hardly anyone knows how to think critically, disregard their emotions and rest their argument solely upon logic.
Logic is perfect.
Women are emotional beings, thus find it harder to separate themselves from it in order to become logical. A post about obese people hit /r/askreddit which compelled me to write this because I've had enough of illogical irrational people, don't be one of them.
Reasons + Evidence + Example, that is what makes good sense.
My boyfriend and I are both overweight and I feel like sometimes people feel like we settled for each other because we couldn't get any better. The truth is, is he's an amazing person who make me feel loved and cherished, is ridiculously smart and funny, and after a long day of work, he's the only person I can see and not want to punch in in the face.
This is a comment from this post on the subreddit, hilariously flawed. With +1461 score, it gives rise to the obvious notion that reddit is illogical and facilitates to others with similar views. Very emotionally attached to societal norms, pathetic really.
because we couldn't get any better
he's the only person I can see and not want to punch in in the face.
You can see she is emotionally invested in disliking people for judging her. I'd be willing to bet if a guy with the body of Adonis came along who wholly accepted her fatness, she'd suck his cock so hard that she'd rip it off.
The truth is, is he's an amazing person
She is telling us why she likes this person, but doesn't relate to the fact that the point of her even talking is to explain why them being together is because they can't get any better.
The truth is
Opinion, not truth.
Her statement is basically, "People think this, but that isn't true because Its not true."
Logic >> Emotion
A small example can help you see why, and try to recognise in your own self when you read this what you are feeling and whether it is best.
Ex. Discarding the possibility of Human-Space travel to new worlds; we as a species must prevent overpopulation. You hear of people with 3-7 kids, 2 is the most you should have. 2 kids, 1 replaces the mother and 1 replaces the father, a stable economy. People with more than 2 kids are selfish people. They consider "I just wants loads of kids and have a big family (you know the type) and others just want 3-4 kids because they can, and why not??? Because overpopulation. We must force parents to only have 2 children.
The emotion you probably felt was "it is wrong" to force people to not have kids, its their right!! Yeah, well if everyone did that, we'd be fucked. Too many people. How can we control population? War, famine, hunger and child restrictions; the most humane is the latter. Your emotional side is telling you it is wrong, but your logical side is telling you it is right. (assuming there isn't another way to control the population size).
This sort of bad logic most people adhere to has sent me into disagreement with some of the posts on TRP, because we shouldn't just accept and agree with something without good reasoning which I don't believe everyone does.
TRP's foundations is on the fundamental, evolutionary biology (nature) of Humans; while this is what can be considered similar is most people, most people are not similar. Cultural, economical, criminal, sociological, psychological, religious (and many more nurture aspects) factors take a part in what a person is. Thus, my disagreement with AWALT, I believe NAWALT simply because logical possibility.
What does most of this have to do with TRP?
Separate your logical and emotional self. There are a lot of people on here that do this, which is why the feminists' platforms are so easily destroyed. TRP has logical foundations but the different sects do not relate to everyone.
TL;DR: Logic is perfect.
Edit: I never said remove emotion. I do believe that emotions are very powerful, and as such they are volatile and dangerous, yet amazing and wonderful. Logic is unchanging. I did say "Separate your logical and emotional self" in an effort to recognise when you are being controlled by your emotions, using logic also helps you understand what is the best option.
