Good luck buddy. Glad you found someone who is a good fit for you.
Just beware that as sure as day follows night she will begin attempts to manipulate you once you're married or in any long term relationship. If she's thinking about kids she WILL try to make you more beta. It's is inescapable biological hardwiring.
Stick to your principles (frame) and you may just make it through the other side. When the kids get beyond a certain age she'll suddenly be craving the old alpha you back. If you never caved in to her nagging you should be golden.

It's true. With some, it takes longer for the comfort to build to the point where they can give into their natural desire to test your position on the scale of what is the best I can do. It probably has to do with how their father interacted with them and their mothers growing up and if he did a good job of training them.
[–]redpillrobby1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is correct. It's not about who she is, it's about how you hold yourself and what you demand and what you're willing to walk away from. AWALT, so be the man that takes advantage of that. Even in an LTR/marriage.

Child free and pro choice is a beautifully manageable life. Neither of us want kids. Ever. And she knows that fact will never change on my end and she knows that's non-negotiable should her feelings change.
We do like cats and dogs though.
Thanks for the well wishes man. With proper management a long term and stable productive relationship is still achievable.

Yes mate seriously all the best. It's nice to hear some positivity on here now and again!
But perhaps you'll permit me some final thoughts for the road across country as you set off for new prospects: -
1) re-reading your OP, you guys sound young-ish maybe mid twenties? So her "I never want kids either babe" should be read as "I feel right now that I never want kids either". There is a large probability driven by biological imperatives that she will change her mind on kids. This will be regardless of your explicit statements. So in 5 years or so at age 30, you may be faced with an ultimatum -"have kids or we have to break up cuz my time is running out" how will you face this issue?
2) you've been exclusive for 2 years. You're still both in the chemical love phase. You'll need to keep developing your "alpha" traits for when this love phase passes. She'll be primarily occupied by security at this later stage. Hence my advice - don't yield to the nagging! Nagging is inevitable children or no.
3) your post implies to me that you're the type of guy that prefers companionship from a woman. This is your Achillies heel, beware it's exploitation.
Again, best of luck.
All very good points! I'll do my best to tackle em here, but you're right about our age actually. 25.
I agree with the potential for this to become an issue. But, outcome independence is single handedly the most beneficial trait I have ever cultivated within myself. If she wants something I can not give her, she knows where the door is and knows I'll be just fine without her. In fact, I said in another comment that I think this trait fosters around 30% of her lasting attraction for me. Also, this trait allows me a mental freedom from situational benefits in my personal and professional life. It's a very valuable thing to me that I am mindful of daily, in various ways.
Plated for around 15 months where monogamy was explicitly not expected from me, green flag was her maintaining it actually while I was off doing my thing every weekend. And now monogamous and exclusive for about a year. I'd concede that we are still in the chemical love phase but well out of the honeymoon phase at least. I agree completely that I have, in no way, crossed a finish line or amything. I still have to balance aloha and beta traits daily and pass comfort tests, although the shit tests have legitimately stopped after the first 3 months of exclusivity, or I just don't notice them anymore. Maybe both. She doesn't nag me yet but I think that behavior is kept at bay by giving her small victories every once in awhile so she feels maintained instead of lorded over. Any habits I have or had were mine to deal with and generally she respects those boundaries due to me setting strong boundaries at the beginning. Good thoughts though. I will stay vigilant.
You're absolutely correct here. I cannot deny it. But the key word is prefer. I maintain my own personal mindset of outcome independence. While I'd prefer long term companionship under these circumstances, if circumstances change, I'm very okay with preferring, then, to be alone again. I don't fear it, I just don't prefer it. I hope this is the armor around my heel.
Thanks for the further thought. I never post on trp and don't have many bros in life who share these views. Plenty of bros, but not many enlightened. It's cool to see that I've prepared this relationship well and vetted her appropriately. Like spending forever in a nice hard recipe and having other people say "pretty good man" lol
Thanks again.

Yeah seems like you've got your head screwed on and are aware.
Yes vigilance is key. To which I will add continual improvement, life is always the side of a mountain never the summit.
Enjoy it mate!

I'm in that zone right now and steering hard back to pre-kids alpha. married 8 years, 2 kids (2 and 5) and commanding our sex life back (been meh for at least a year). Good pro tip, if you're affording your LTR some little luxuries like, that side of the bed, or the better car for the kids, take it back or take the luxury away. Exercise the power you have in those seemingly mundane situations and get her back into your frame and watch her use sex for negotiation like a good girl.
[–]RPStone2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
use sex for negotiation like a good girl.
Why the fuck would you let a girl use sex as a negotiation tool?
[–]Rollo_Mayhem31 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I have to agree with RPStone's outrage with the idea that you would allow a woman and thereby condition a woman to use access to her body as a bargaining chip. As far as you should be concerned, you "own" her body and sex is given freely on demand to you.
That being said, she has learned to manipulate you using sex and subconsciously or even consciously you lower your value. Bad precedent.

Thank you guys. When this relationship explodes I'll be back I'm sure, but I actually rationally think this may work. Weird.
I think of it as becoming a top tier performer in any 'dream' activity. When you start out it seems impossible, when you attempt it it seems insurmountably hard. When you learn how to do you it quickly realize you're for the most part clueless and incapable. Yet when you do the work, when you stick to it, when you discipline yourself, when you grind through the months and years of effort, you suddenly find that what you first thought to be impossible has now become attainable.
I'm not in your position yet, but I also believe it's possible.
One could say our Western culture makes it harder, but I disagree. In fact it makes it easier. Our environment unbound hypergamy forces us to be the best man we can be. There simply is no alternative. If you value quality female company, you can not rely on the crumbling archaic structures that allowed former generations of men to slack off and still feel entitled to it. I'm not saying the work itself becomes easier, I'm saying aiming for the top does. The punishment for mediocrity has become a sexual death sentence.
[–]lopsidedlucky1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
unbound hypergamy forces us to be the best man we can be.
You may not fully understand hypergamy. Even the top alphas get cheated on and divorce raped. Remember the post here about the perfect girl that got railed by that famous rapper. If you're at the very top of your game for the rest of your life maybe, a girl won't cheat on you very much or actually divorce you.
Almost no matter how alpha you are you can't control awalt and a woman's hypergamy bro. The redpill cornerstone, she's not yours, it's just your turn.
[–]Frigzy0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think you make a mistake here. You can not expect to have a lasting relationship when you rely solely on your alpha traits. Being alpha generates attraction, but does not generate an emotional connection. You could reason that this is why hypergamy stays so real in so many relationships, but this is often times false as well. Men tend to soften up their alpha traits with beta tendencies when the relationship progresses, often under female 'pressure'. And THIS is where the problem arises for most men. They get swayed towards the beta side too much and start losing their raw alpha edge. At this point in time, the built up connection will start losing out on raw attractiveness when it comes to other men.
The key is to keep both alpha and beta traits properly managed as a means to maintain your personal wellbeing and that of the relationship. Also, you can not expect to make this work if you choose the wrong partner in the first place. Hence the intense vetting process before you actually commit.
It's a complex and high maintenance endeavor, but it can be done. It is far beyond simply being alpha though.

You should check out MRP. Full of good advice to keep yourself from becoming comfortable, which leads to beta, which leads to the relationship falling apart.

When a guy simply understands that it's "when it explodes, not if", everything falls right into place. And this "when" may not happen in years and years especially with good "bitch management", so why not enjoy it to the fullest. All the best man!
[–]DentyneWhite 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The fact that the inevitable explosion wont leave a mark is a contributing factor to making her act right
What could be more beautiful than lording over a sexy sweet girl who wants to please???
[–]Senior Endorsed Contributormax_peenor9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She had to prove herself in at least 10 different instances to be "worthy."
This just makes me think of someone that puts a revolver to their head and pulls the trigger five times, and since nothing happened, it must be safe to pull it one more time. bam
I am in an LTR
Do what you want to do. Just keep in mind that while she may have graduated to being a serious thing, that doesn't mean you can relax. Even if she stays as you have seen, if you can't maintain attraction, it'll be fucked.
[–]Ainitux5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
of course it can be done for some time. but she is not yours and she will move on eventually. Until that, enjoy.
[–]NotAnotherSJWAgain1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Call us back in 10 years when you have several kids and a mortgage. I sincerely hope you kept your momentum. It's not easy.
[–]3whatsthisgarg1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good luck, man. I am twice your age and the story is very, very similar. Almost every detail. I could probably tell you many things that are going to happen to you. Here's just 2 for now:
You say in other comments you're both child-free. Yeah, my woman and I were as well. To the point where SHE recommended a vasectomy when I was in my late 20s. Things change, and while I wasn't really enthused about it, I was okay with it, and a few years later we had a kid. And it was fine.
I think you know this, but you can never relax. A lot of fags on TRP have a real problem with this, and that shows they haven't really internalized the principles. Personally, I don't want to relax, I want to be ON all the time.
I know it's a tiny minority opinion here, but I really think you can have any kind of relationship you want with TRP principles. And I'd go further and say that you CAN'T have a successful relationship of any kind WITHOUT TRP principles.

This isn't going to end well.....
Clue stuck in the following comment:
"Things got dicey when I had made out with two girls at her house and went to bed with her within 30 minutes after a party"
That will tell you everything you need to know.....
[–]victordmor0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Good luck, brother. Congratulations on your achievements.
[–]redpillrobby-3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Good for you, but don't stop spinning those plates. Or at least still pick them up every once in a while. LTRs last a lot longer, and both parties are a lot happier, when the man still acts like a man (and that means spinning plates/cheating).
Good luck to you.
Cheating is not a quality I have. My word is my bond and monogamy is no light feat for a woman to accomplish with me. There are other ways to preserve your 'skills' in an ltr.
[–]redpillrobby0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Haha well cheating isn't a "quality" it's a tactic. I don't know why I feel like I'm trying to convince you of this. You do what makes you happy, bro.
[–]Endorsed ContributorBluepillProfessor0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
They will test that word. Let's see how you think about monogamy and "keeping your word" after 1 year in a Dead Bedroom.
Your attitude needs to be you will keep your word- so long as she keeps hers, or she won't. Count on it.

Seriously. To love and to cherish.
Consider your relationship an equal partnership and find out the hard way that she doesn't give a shit.
