I've spent 2018 thinking about my close friendships with people whom I consider my brothers; All of us were introduced to TRP through a member of our group who once preached all of the information cited here as God's own Gospel (he is now in an LTR with a girl that he perceives as N-AWALT: "She was honest with me about her n-count, she can't be lying").

I make it a point to build my SMV, game/approach women, find and practice hobbies... basically just progress as a man. I may not be where I need to be but I definitely am working towards the goals I have set for myself. I have been told (and shown) by many women that I am attractive, and I have not had many problems receiving IOIs or getting rejected by women, so my goals are don't revolve around women as much as some of my friends' goals do.

What I keep seeing from my close friends (who are also TRP aware) is nothing but the classic "Crabs in the bucket mentality".. which is surprising to me mainly because they are also RP aware.

One of my friends (who likely will see this post) does nothing but read TRP and he walks around acting like because he's read the content, he has thus absorbed it. He complains constantly (every single time I see him - I've taken note of this in my journal) about how he isn't getting bigger, how he sucks at approaching, he talks ill of our friends who have had success with women etc. He is one of my best friends, but he basically acts like a women through his behaviors: he constantly hamsters, shit-tests me, negs me, and shows his envy of me. I've made it a point to not see him as much and when I do hang out with him now he hamsters about how "spending too much time with me is toxic" and "it's good he doesn't see me as much" (which is completely fine with me... he literally has no other friends in the area outside of a couple of BP/extremely low SMV losers).

Almost every time I see him, I end up being real with him about why he isn't getting bigger, or getting numbers/numbers etc. I also make sure to hype him up because he is an objectively attractive guy who's lack of confidence in himself is the reason he's low SMV. I want to help him (I take him out and approach solely for the sake of getting him to talk to women) etc. but for some reason the more I try to help him the more he resents me.

My other friends act in a very similar fashion, they resent the fact that I do (relatively) well with women and they end up acting in a very unfriendly/womanly way. At every chance, my "best friends" end up putting me down and distancing themselves away from me.

It sucks because I just feel alone after all of this, I've recently been going through a tough time and I want company but every time I try to find solace in my friendships I get hit with the same behaviors, making me regret hanging out with them in the first place.

Everyone here talks about building a tribe, but it's hard when everyone in the tribe is still working towards their goals/aren't satisfied with themselves. I've also realized that pushing/motivating people towards their goals and flaunting personal successes to other males (brothers, close friends, co-workers) just makes people resent you and pushes them away.
