Last night I was browsing Tinder, as I often do before bed, when I came across a girl I had gone out with 2 years ago - just prior to discovering the Red Pill.

In retrospect, I should have easily banged her. But I failed every shit test and found myself defeated by ASD/LMR back at her place. She (laughably) claimed that she wasn’t into casual sex and once aspired to become a Catholic nun. We never met again after that.

Fast forward to the present. The chick I foolishly believed at the time to be a “good girl” has made a Tinder profile filled with scantily-clad pictures of her at the club and the beach. Presumably she just graduated college and is looking for some Chad cock before she leaves the city for good. In the meantime I’ve raised my SMV and upped my notch count by a large margin, thanks largely to this sub. We match within minutes of me swiping on her.

I’m actually excited at this point. If I could somehow convince this girl to meet me again, then surely I could game her with my RP knowledge. It would be easy. My ego really wanted her. If I could bang this girl, then I could symbolically vanquish the former Beta once and for all.

I suspect this is why many guys try to pursue girls from their pasts after finding TRP. Many of them lack abundance, to be sure, but there is a lot of satisfaction in boning or even brushing off a girl who once rejected you.

I messaged her what’s up. She recognized me, replying “didn’t we go out two years ago?!” I pretended not to remember, but the ruse was up. As I replied to some other matches this morning, I saw that she unmatched me.

Absurdly, I felt disappointed. Why should I give a shit that some low self-esteem HB7 Tinder hoe unmatched? It happens all the time, usually without me even noticing. The more I thought about why I felt let down, the more I realized that I should heed my own adage:

once a Beta, always a Beta in a girl’s view

When you meet a girl, you’re immediately slotted into a neat little category in her hindbrain. While you can easily move from Alpha to Beta, it is virtually impossible to move from Beta to Alpha without an overwhelming change in SMV. You almost never move up on the hierarchy, only down. This is especially true In a situation involving a failed sexual escalation, as was the case with the girl described here. OmLaLa writes more about this in his post on Ladder Theory (sorry I can’t be arsed to find the link).

While male friends are often encouraging of self-improvement, girls will almost never accept your Red Pill transformation as the authentic you. Instead, they’ll simply wonder why Beta Bob is acting like such an asshole. Your newfound interest in fitness and fashion will make you vain, not hot. When you start banging and dating hotter girls, you’ll be accused of being superficial.

Rollo has written extensively about the “existential fear” that a woman’s hypergamous filters will be tricked by a guy pretending to be something he is not. I suspect this is why women often react badly to Beta male self-improvement and Red pilling. It is for this reason that I’ve been forced to limit contact with female friends in my social circle. One of them actually sent me a bewildered text rant a year back wondering “what happened” to me, i.e. what happened to the nice Beta guy.

I really think most newly Red Pilled guys ought to abandon their former social circle, especially if that social circle contains women. Likewise, trying to regame failed sexual prospects should not be attempted. There will be intense pressure to conform to an expectation of how you ought to behave based on an impression formed of you long ago, followed by disappointment when you’re rejected.

When the girl above rejected me, she wasn’t rejecting me, but rather the version of me that she’s familiar with. Unfortunately I briefly indulged in the fantasy that I could make her feel otherwise.

You can never vanquish the Beta by trying to rewrite the past. What’s done is done.
