Any addiction IMO reeks of BP mentality to me, but especially this one. For better or worse, the way I see addictions is a condition where someone cannot delay short term gratification despite the known long term cost. Since this addiction has to do with our sex drive and its target, women, its particularly harmful to those who want to escape BP thinking.

Im going to be blunt. Stop being a short term thinking weak minded lab rat. Anytime you get the urge, break it with something else. Having an addiction means you no longer control your life and are consequently being the ultimate BP bitch. Like everything else TRP preaches - man up and own your life.

Through the college years I've dwelled on porn websites, I had grown insecure day by day. I don't know about others but if you can't get through at least a month without having an urge to watch porn, then you might have a problem. And that problem certainly is against TRP philosophy. If you are not able to sustain your frame against your urges and disgusting habits, it means you lack some willpower and you can't hold your frame against to anyone in real life. Not necessarily be a woman. It can be your douchebag boss who pushes you around and makes you work overtime with no pay whatsoever. Anyway, I'm porn free now for a while and I can't say I don't have any addiction because once you have an addiction you'll have it for the rest of your life biologically. If I start watching porn now, the dopamine release in my brain for rewarding will continue where I left off. It will take literally tens of years for my brain to rewire itself and forget about it. So my advise to whoever struggling with porn, always be vigilant, always treat yourself as an addict especially like a drug addict and remove everything from your life that triggers you to go back to the porn dungeon. I kept a journal with couple of entries each day for 2 months. That was the cold turkey period for me.

Ted Bundy didn't really care about porn. He was trying to justify his insanity and get attention, and he knew a good way to do that would be to be a spokesman for an Evangelical boogeyman. Remember this guy was a sociopath. He's doing everything he can to get sympathy before his appeals run out.

porn... the more porn you watch, the less attracted to real life women you get. you become only attracted to women in pixels. this can cause erectile dysfunction. and when you masturbate, your dick gets used to your hand. this may cause you to end up soft inside a woman or make you unable to cum.

also porn ends up getting heavier. once you've masturbated to vids of solo women long enough, that will soon bore you, and you will go up a notch, maybe lesbian porn. then it will escalate even more, eventually. this also would play somewhat of a role in what you are attracted to outside the screen. I blame regular use of pornography for making straight people (specifically teens) interested in the same sex (bicurious) and some into paedophilia, even bestiality, or even weirder.

porn is absolutely unnatural and filthy. anyone who manages to abstain from porn from a while always sees things differently. sexual tastes slowly go back to normal, erections become harder, everything just becomes natural.

I experienced the harmful effects of porn recently. Wanked a whole lot to porn during a slow week. Two-three times a day for 5-6 days. Then fucked a chick on the seventh day. Had major troubles keeping it up. Couldn't cum even after a long session. Didn't enjoy it at all. Was using a rubber but I always use on so that couldn't be the issue. The only thing that was different was the jerking off to porn marathon I had through the week. Have decided to get rid of the porn habit now.

Thank you for this post. I was very addicted for a long time and experienced many of the issues associated with it (lack of mental stimulation in any activity other than sex, PIED when using a condom, etc.).

I've done multiple 30 day no porn stints over the last 2 years and am now shooting for cold turkey in 2016.

Maybe I'm an outlier on the data for this but I've watched porn daily and jerk off to it since I was probably 16 ish. So over 10 years. I have no erectile issues, I harbor no resentment towards women or have any weird sexual fetishes. My motivation levels are high as well as my testosterone and I still love to seek out real women. Jacking off to porn is just an awesome way to start the day.

God damn. Ted Bundy, ladies and gentlemen.

I need to rethink some specific parts of my life.

The thing that is funny is that far from everyone develops a problem with porn, in fact I believe the majority probably has no issues with it. But the ones that do have a problem with it tell a story that just resonates too much for me to not acknowledge that it does effect some peoples brain in a common and harmful way. I've absolutely had problems relating to girlfriends and keep a healthy sex life because of it, and I find it has been impossible to stop watching it. Lack of willpower due to lack of good enough reasons has been my excuse. I'm not sure if I should consider myself lucky these days, but it has become boring now. I'm older and libido is lower.

But god damn. Ted Bundy speaking about porn like that. That's really freaky.
