I assume you've all seen the opening to American Psycho? I mean in that particular case, it was more to metaphorically emphasize a point, but I think a decent skincare regimen will give you a little boost in outward appearance, but will help you keep looking good as you age? Sort of like regular brushing an flossing can be annoying and tedious but have payoffs down the road. It fits within the RP mantra of focusing on yourself.

Do I think seeing a professional is a necessary aspect of skincare? No. A lot of skin care can be taken care of with stuff you can order off amazon and use at home (basic exfoliants/moisturizers), but again if you have the time and money to see a professional it could be an interesting experience. We know a lot of common soaps and alcohol-based moisturizers (aftershaves) are not super great long-term for skin. Hair/beard care for men is becoming more discussed so why not skin care?.

Ultimately as far as health, healthy eating and lifting should come first, without question. But if you've got some extra time money to give it a try, what is there to lose? If someone gives you shit about it, just tell them you need to return some video tapes.

Save your money. A bit of olive oil, egg white and let it dry, rinse it off an hour later. Cheap cosmetic hack on the sly, going to a salon and paying for this shit is ridiculous. Tea tree oil for spot treatment of acne. Had terrible acne at 24, stopped eating gluten and it was gone within a week.
