It seems that red pill theorist and proponents often have conflicting advice as to what to do with behaviour that is seen as unacceptable, where the reaction could be interpreted as mate guarding.

Picture this scenario recently on asktrp:

Girl wanted to go to a bar with a friend. Guy tells his girl doesn't do that (ok, in too many words). Girl immediately agrees. Guy was ready to immediately drop her if she didn't agree.

This could happen with a number of scenarios where as the relationship leader you should be able to articulate where the boundaries are.

On the one hand she could be intentionally testing what the boundaries are, i.e. a shit test, to see how insecure and clingy the guy is. It could probably be too difficult to determine whether this is the case.

There is a school of thought that says your girl should already know where the red lines are, and if she doesn't then she's not LTR material. If a girl asks you to go to a bar or to some holiday destination while being with you then that's an instant LTR disqualifiar. Any overt display of enforcing boundaries is mate guarding and should be avoided - as it will always set you back in the long run. Also, it will make her hide things from you anyway.

Or she could simply be dumb - don't attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupiditiy. Some girls are simply too stupid, are probably used to BP betas, and just don't know any better.

You can smell trouble a mile away - a male dominated work place or social setting is rife with opportunities for other guys to sweep her off her feet, and don't say it can't happen to your unicorn, AWALT, she can't reason herself out of such a situation.

In a sense, you could be protecting her from herself. Just like protecting a kid from doing a myriad of dangerous things. No no, going out on your own after dark is not good. Just like kids, girls can be as stupid.

What are the views of the RP veterans here?
