Tinder. I started by saying "whats up" then asked for her number.

"You don't get my number (: I don't give it out unless I decide someone isnt going to annoy the fuck out of me"

"Good plan, I'm probably the most annoying person you'll meet. So how about that #?"

Got the number then never texted her. She was not nearly attractive enough for me to put up with that kind of shit right off the bat.

Not everything needs an abbreviation. Also I don't know what you did to resolve the example in the OP.

Almost every shit test via text is passed by agree and amplify or amused mastery.

One of my girls practices what I call "Good Catholic Girl" game. That is, she presents herself as a chaste, upstanding, modest suburban sort, who would never ever ever do the sorts of things she started doing to me on the second date. (She's a fire-kitten in the sack, and she wants it all the time, except when she's acting like her GCG.)

So she texts me a dreamy, chaste love-haiku every night before she sleeps. I appreciate that but this week I got tired of sending her dreamy, lovey-dovey texts back (I'm 1000 miles away at the moment). I texted her when she was at the office.

Me: Miss you. Another good poem.

Her: Thanks!

Me: Do you get wet when you write these things?

Her: I'm at work.

Me: Your panties are wet now, right?

Her: I'm crossing my legs.

Me: Knew it.

Her: Stop it I'm working.

Me: Pity.

Her: Stop it I have to work.

Me: Oh it's GCG time now.

Her: Means what?

Me: "Good Catholic Girl". Your disguise.

Her: ???

So I let it drop and didn't reply further. No poem that night. Poems the next two nights. One of them talked about her "inner surfaces" being "touched" (i.e., come back and fuck me). So the shit-testing seems to me to be "Can you treat me like June Cleaver and then fuck me like a bull?"

I was annoyed at the time but conclude there's not going to be any playtime via txt because it raises her "I'm not that kind of girl" b.s. shit-test. (Understand, it takes about five minutes to make her squirt.) So I'll let her have the GCG fiction, since it's not reality. The last time I visited we were watching the Cards game and she stripped to her lingerie and gave me an unsolicited hummer. Seems like I should let her have her fictional self? There doesn't appear to be any upside in teasing her much harder.

Would appreciate suggestions.

I have stopped using text message. I think it is counter productive to the type of life I lead and the flavor of social interactions I enjoy. It's way too easy for a woman (or a man, to be fair) to exhibit passive aggressive behavior or throw some dumb shit against the wall to see what sticks. I don't play that game anymore. It's uncommon with my (millennial) generation, but now I try to stick to actual phone conversations where tone of voice, cadence, pace, and vocabulary all factor into the meaning of the words. Plus there is no "trail" of evidence to point to during future arguments.

Texting is a shitty way to communicate, so I absolve myself from it. If a person can't take the time to have a person-to-person chat, they don't get to interact with me. The thing about texts is, with all the flavor stripped away that I mentioned above (tone, pacing, etc), it's as if a woman forgets that you are the man and she is the woman. The words become disentangled from the human who used them, and it becomes a battle between two minds. In a weird Twilight Zone kind of way, a text-convo exits the normal frame of existence into this parallel reality outside of your masculine frame where everything is neutral, and she is free to say the dumbest shit that comes to mind to get a reaction out of you or throw you off balance. 95% of shit tests that can happen in a text conversation simply won't even happen in a voice-to-voice chat.
