there have been a lot of posts suggesting that you should greet just about everyone you pass by in a friendly way. it is a great way to get in the groove of talking to people and establish a friendly rapport. i have began doing this at work and randomly in publix, but sometimes it is just a weird "hey"

how do you do it? i usually wave, slight smile, good strong tone/volume, and say something like

  • hey good morning
  • hello there
  • whats up man
  • hey
  • hey bae

but i never say something like "how are you" because i hate when people ask me that, and the response is too long in passing. i just want to give a friendly hello. what do you think? not necessarily looking for the most "alpha" response, just something genuine and natural to help with talking to more people
