you had to learn that one from experience? :P

[+]cooledcannon -19 points-18 points-17 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

It's every bit as relevant as not trusting someone who doesn't wear a watch or keep a cell phone to be on time or care that you're waiting on them.

I dont wear a watch because I dont like having something strapped to my wrist, nor do i like the small electromagnetic field directly on my body. I dont have a cellphone for similar reasons, the main reason being it causes cancer. I generally am always somewhere with a wall clock or something, and im not late usually.

[–]Gantznaught 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

source for cellphones causing cancer please

[–]FAPSLOCK 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You don't need a source for the watch causing cancer?

[–]Theophagist 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There is no source. There's like 1 incident where a woman got skin cancer on her chest near the spot she would stuff her cell phone. They showed the marks were "Exactly where she puts it" as though it had ink on it and left a mark.

Because it's going to go into the bra at the exact same position, stay there steadily and not move a millimeter all day every day because she never takes her bra off and never uses her phone apparently.

[–]iseeyou1312 -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Source.

Edit: The person obviously doesn't realise how the CNS controls your body, or know about the Earth's magnetic field. I'm going to save them the horror by not mentioning the obvious.

Your sources.

Your welcome.

Long story short some smart people are concerned about it, but the smart people haven't found anything wrong yet. Or so they say.

Also some researchers are saying it hurts your sperm count. But no one on the red pill gives a fuck about that ha ha.

I saw the sluttiest tatts on an otherwise attractive girl the other day...I guess you could call it a "ham-stamp." They spelled out something and were slightly below her ass on both of her hamstrings. She was wearing short ass daisy dukes so you could read them. If she was wearing normal shorts you wouldn't be able to. What a waste of canvas.

[–]MockingDead 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ham-stamps are stretched out tats on a hamplanet, see below.

Holy shit yes. Girl I banged last week had a RIP Daddy tattoo. For a second, I actually felt guilty defiling some dead dude's daughter. But then I remembered the Red Pill.

[–]Clauderoughly 20 points21 points22 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She was defiled long before you got to her.

[–]kommissar_chaR 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let's not get carried away. I dated a girl that had the strangest daddy issues and she was really clean cut and didn't care for my vices or tattoos that much. Not saying you are wrong, just to take that mentality with a grain of salt.

[–]James_Coook 28 points29 points30 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That "6th sense" is called common sense lol. Hmmm...she looks slutty...I wonder if she is indeed slutty.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you're in America, most of em are. If you're anywhere else in the world and you see a slut... well, you've got the game won for you. ha

[–]Big_Man_On_Campus 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Ah, could be a chicken and egg issue. Are they more slutty because they get approached more by men with no intention of an LTR? OR are they slutty, so they get a tat, and guys can just tell?

Reversing the situation, if a body modification would make more women approach me, I would probably take advantage of it even before my promiscuity changed. However, once things start changing towards a more active hook-up-culture participation rate... I'd start essentially confirming the stereotype with my behavior. But I'm a guy, so I'm sexually easy, my perspective might not apply to women, YMMV.

[–]cooledcannon 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, could be a chicken and egg issue. Are they more slutty because they get approached more by men with no intention of an LTR? OR are they slutty, so they get a tat, and guys can just tell?

I think its mostly the second. However, i personally judge sluttiness less the hotter the girl is. If you get approached 24/7, you are bound to give it up every once in a while. If no one approaches you, but you still sleep around, its a red flag. To a lesser extent i would judge girls more if they sleep with unattractive losers than if they sleep with attractive guys.

[–]Theophagist -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I always felt that people who like tats and piercings like the endorphin rush, so naturally they're going to like things stuffed in their body. They tend to like anal and a lot of spanking as well. Intense stuff.

I wonder why they don't tend to overeat, it's a similar kind of body-intensity.

[–]kommissar_chaR 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I have a bunch of tats, and I definitely enjoy really rough sado-masochistic ladies in the sack.

“The Friend Zone is a bullshit, misogynistic, make-believe land Nice Guys have come up with to demonize women for not wanting to date them.

...

the misogyny of Reddit, geek and “troll” cultures (trigger warning for the last three links for rape, misogyny, and transmisogyny)

...

There's also a prizewinning commenter:

JonathanNathan

Find me a fedora-wearing man who isn't misogynist, overtly sexist, and/or pro-patriarchy, and then you can make this claim.

...

JonathanNathan

If Reddit wants to be a place where the user experience can be customized and curated to meet individual interests, then the Reddit community is going to need to get used to the fact that when you provide a comfortable haven for horrible people, you'll be judged by association.

Same guy in some other thread, responding to a poster who said the wage gap is a myth:

"the wage gap has been disproven a billion times already."

[asking for a source] --And when I say source, I mean "not a source which is closely linked to misogynists."

I noticed the chick who wrote the Fedora article also wrote this:

http://feminspire.com/on-being-fat-and-wearing-crop-tops/

To be clear: I don’t call myself fat as a way of insulting myself. I identify as fat to reclaim the term, to make it something fabulous and not pejorative. I’m a major proponent of the fat activist movement, though I’m very critical of its lack of intersectionality and inclusion of people of color.

...

Although I am fat, my weight is distributed well enough so I don’t receive criticisms on the street for it (rather, I’m forever relegated to the “fat girl” moniker by short-sighted men)

...

When I wear crop tops (or mini-dresses, or short-shorts, or body-con dresses), I feel sexy, powerful, liberated. I feel like I’m embodying my anti-fatphobic revolution.

Here's another good one:

http://feminspire.com/why-i-dont-date-white-men/

My policy against dating white men exists in part because I’m not in the business of coddling privilege.

...

I would be compelled to hold this man accountable to recognizing his white male privilege, while he would likely resist the discomfort of learning that his actions and words reinforce pernicious systems of oppression which oppress masses of people everywhere.

...That's right, if you're a white man, YOU are responsible for oppressing people everywhere! So, uh... Get to work!

Personally, I have also had trouble imagining intimate relationships with white men. This is because the history of oppression, exploitation, and dehumanization of Black women’s bodies by white men is searingly painful and enraging for me.

...She's holding all white people responsible for anything bad any white person ever did, no matter how long ago.

Because I’d rather spare myself the complicated confusion of loving someone who oppresses me, (an oppression compounded by race and gender inequality) and the headache induced by hitting fortified walls of privilege when attempting to challenge that oppression, I steer clear of white men as romantic partners.

...

My singular rejection of this guy is just one loss for him in the arsenal of many wins afforded him at birth for no reason other than the fact that he was born a white guy. His expectation of universal access to all colors of women is just another of his privileges that I, in this instance, am disrupting.

So if you're open to dating someone without prejudice to race, color, or creed, it actually means you are an oppressor, using your white privilege.

And it's not racist, a commenter tells us, because:

because she's not a white woman. that how its not racist. She's a Black woman,

[–]RepliesToYourComment 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is what happens when you take social justice hypersensitivities and categorizations to their natural conclusion.

[–]PimpinLarge 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They are clearly miserable being themselves. I appreciate how much they are subsidizing my campaign of oppressing them!

[–]troubadour1492 -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I do have to admit, to my chagrin, I got a vastly better response when I traded my signature fedora for a cowboy hat. A certain cultural sophistication is required to appreciate the fedora, and thar ain't none of that nowhar round har where everbady growed up watchin' Hee Haw.

The indignities we suffer for pussy.

Yeah, well, being culturally sophisticated has never gotten me laid, has it? Right.

tattoos are great indicators for the mischievous rascals among us. all sorts of tricks to pull:

  • grab her arms and ask "what is this supposed to be", also you can lead her by turning her arms over, or spinning her around like shes a display model while looking for more tattoos. (dominance)
  • general tattoo discussion topics, they all say they hate when people ask them about their tattoos, and then spend an hour talking about them.
  • tattoos often hold some emotional meaning which can be tapped to take things emotional in a short time period
  • high likelihood she uses and/or abuses alcohol and other drugs (less inhibited, risk taker)
  • if the guy has a tattoo, he gets a bonus point on his SMV

people that get tattoos because they are trendy are incredibly short sighted. if tattoos are a person's thing, thats just fine, but trends that result in permanent consequences are highly suspect.

[–]Scarlett_Begonias 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

if the guy has a tattoo, he gets a bonus point on his SMV

That somewhat depends on the tattoo, IMO.

[–]sushisection 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah right, because nobody with a tribal armband has ever gotten laid

[–]Scarlett_Begonias 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There are plenty of worse tattoos than that. Crappy prison tattoos can be an exception I suppose, if they're obvious, because some girls do like that criminal look.

[–]ZeusLaser -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's going to depend on what level of tattooed we're talking about here. If she's just a random broad with a tramp stamp, butterfly, Chinese symbol, etc. then yes this will work. However, if we're talking about heavily tattooed, suicide girl types then none of that will fly.

[–]refrigeratorbob -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How about something in between, wise guy?

[–]angelothewizard 18 points19 points20 points 13 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Next time, don't use the words "Trigger Warning". If people have issues with what is discussed here, they don't belong here to begin with.

I'm a little bitter today.

I don't mind being better than my girlfriend in some areas, but the one area where I'd like her to be better is responsibility. Nothing says "My rational decisions would make me a great mom" like a couple tattoos.

[–]TRIGGER__WARNING 9 points10 points11 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did someone say my name?

It's true. I don't find girls with tattoos any more attractive, but I definitely think they're easier. And they usually are.

[–]Scarlett_Begonias 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Girls with tattoos put out.

[–]Nuke_Israel 31 points32 points33 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

When I was younger, I would always lie when a girl brought up her tattoo. Thinking I was impressing her by complimenting her horrible star tattoo on her arm, even though I knew it was ugly and trashy. I believe most guys don't like tattoos on a girl, but say they do just to get her to like them.

Women believe guys like tattoos because they are attracted to tattoos on a guy. They are attracted to that bad boy risk taking behavior, so their girl logic thinks guys must like it on girls. Girls are very narcissistic this way, they believe everyone thinks like them, even men.

Of course a tattoos doesn't turn a girl into some ugly monstrosity, it probably only makes them a few decimal points less attractive, but the turn off is the kind of people who get tattoos though. They are usually less educated, more likely to have mental disorders, and are overall more trashy.

The old phrase, "you wouldn't put a bumper sticker on a sport's car", sums up why a girl shouldn't get a tattoo.

[–]troubadour1492 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Wow, I really like that star tattoo you have on your arm. It's a lot more special than the star tattoo every other girl your age has on her arm. You must be really special."

[–]t21spectre 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Girls are very narcissistic this way, they believe everyone thinks like them, even men.

This is why many women think most men are misogynistic. I find most women hate each other and think men hate women as much as they do.

[–]empyblessing 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Did women find men with tattoos more attractive? Tattoos are a great way to spoke a degenerate.

[–]cooledcannon 9 points10 points11 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe. But i would still advise not getting one, because the difference is too small to matter. Also, its supply and demand, and the fact that its really difficult to undo a tattoo means that its way more likely to be attractive to be untattooed in the future.

[–]Scarlett_Begonias -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Depends on the tattoo [EDIT: I mean whether women like them on men]... They are a pretty good gauge of what kind of person someone is.

[–]DavidTIntellectual 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fucking surprise of the decade right there...

[–]sushisection 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I like girls with interesting tats. Girls with generic tats just seem boring and seem to get them for the aesthetic. But if it's actually a cool-looking tat then more upvotes from me. To each his own I guess

There's this porn star I saw once with a huge tribal that went from her left thigh, up her back, and over her right shoulder. Mmm that my kind of shit.

[–]daykid 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For me, it is about what kind of tattoo. Girls who get tramp stamps and other kinds of common tattoos are the girls who generally seem to be boring or trashy. If a girl has an interesting tattoo for a reason other than "I just kinda wanted it cause my friends all have em" or something, then I'm willing to ignore the stigma about tattooed women.

Two comments on your title:

  1. What do you mean by "Trigger Warning"?
  2. Your title should read, "men don't find women with tattoos neither more nor less attractive." It does not say in the article that the men found the women to be unattractive (as your title implies) or that the women have a different level of attractiveness. The article states:

What Gueguen and his team found was telling: men didn't find the woman more attractive when she had the tattoo, but thought they were "more likely to have a date" with women bearing the tattoo. They also thought they'd have a better chance of having sex on the first date when the woman had a tattoo.

Otherwise, great article!

They are less attractive for LTRs.

I like the use of 'Trigger Warning'. I think I get the reference ;)

The lesbians use trigger warnings for anything that might hurt the feelings of the fragile snowflakes that might read their articles. I put it in the title to show how silly it is to stamp everything with trigger warnings.

Your mom is a leftoid.

Unfortunately she is, but that is the default position for a woman, and I expect nothing more of them.

It's only bad when a male is a leftoid, then it becomes some kind of mental illness.

Couldn't there be some selection bias here?

Lmao i was thinking about this recently. Im pretty sure if you could accurately measure girls tattoos and how slutty there are youd find a strong positive relationship

My wife has tattoos, we fuck pretty regularly....so chicks with tats do put out. She also loves having her ass spanked and being treated like a whore during the act. This one is confirmed fellas.
