Trophic cascade is an ecological theory. The idea is that there are indirect interactions that effect ecosystems when predators interact with the dynamic of the food system. A predators presence suppresses the abundance or alter the behavior of their prey. The knock-on effect here is that it alters lower and higher levels of the food chain. On the surface this seems like a bunch of academics who realized what life is all about, yet there are key points to be made here.
To understand fully without me writing a 5 page dissertation watch this video about how wolves were reintroduced back into Yellowstone park. It's a big NO SHIT moment. Yet, the analogy is quite stark when you consider Men as the wolf, and women as the Deer. Then the river as society.
To be clear, and a point I will make a couple times, this in no way defends the notion that men are to fix society. What I am saying is that being a Red Pill man and realizing your potential will have that effect. Where men get into trouble is taking on the higher purpose of defending and fixing marriage, relationships, and society. These goals are impossible to fix and leaves you as a martyr. I will diverge for one moment here.
Marriage, relationships, and society are not defendable ideals. As comparison, men will join the military for "King and Country" as it were. They will subscribe to honor, duty…they will refer to other like minds as their brothers, because these concepts unify them. They are innately understood by other men. It's often said each man joins the military for different reasons, but they stay for same one. These nebulous concepts of marriage and society are not innately understood. Which is why feminists use our internally understood ideals of honor and duty as weapons against us and we reject their interpretations of the ideals. Simply because they fail to understand them. Couple with the fact that a self actualized man is willing to break all the rules to further his goals. Only a man in a position of strength can afford honor.
I digress…consider men as predators. Women are prey. Fairly simple concept. Examine the predator. Men are in denial of themselves. For whatever the reason, taught, learned, or just plain can't accept the idea of it, men become angry. This resulting anger and depression then has men lash out. The key point here is that men do not lash out with emotions. We use them. I have said, and as a Stoic principle, it's human to have emotion. It's a decision to react to it. Denying your true being, your inner self leads are the reasons people are angry, more accurately depressed.
Depression is anger turned inward. What we see in society is lashing out at the world. The reaction of denial. We can blame all the external stimuli all we want, but the simple fact is that in the world of men we make this decision to deny who and what we are. We can see this in the Red Pill how men sit in the anger phase. They aren't mad at the world, at society, they are mad at themselves for believing it. For not listening to their self. We all hear it. We all know it, but we allow the bullshit to creep in. Some have further to go, my journey is not yours, the distance may be different, but the goals and principles are the same.
This effects women as well. Women are prey. They enjoy the chase. We see this in gaming. Yet, they must also want to be caught. This is where feminism teaches otherwise. It's a comparison in women being predator versus being bold and challenging prey. Again, a verified fact we see in FRs about gaming and PUA notes going back years. Still even women that understand their place as prey can't completely accept this. We see it in the form of comfort tests.
Women are in denial of themselves. Society works to suppress a man's natural instincts of the predator, it also encourages the worse characteristics about the feminine. Encourages them to run without control. Where, if in the presence of masculine energy, these negative traits are largely in check. While Red Pill teaches to use hypergamy and solipsism to our ends, consider that we are also learning to control it and keep it in check. Managing plates, your LTR are just aspects of this. As predators, we are learning about the prey. In directly, while looking after our own goals, and passing notes to other men, we are not allowing these negative aspects, and others, from destroying the surrounding society. The prey that is unworthy to be hunted, to be caught, will die off.
This isn't to say that men are required to "save society", yet just like in the tropic cascade theory, as men move to achieve their own goals the 3rd and 4rth order effects will be just that.
Men have a large burden here. Those that do not understand their role as predator can never truly capture high quality women. In this analogy high quality refers to sexually available to him, attractive, pleasant to be with...all the things a Red Pill man looks for. Yet in order to do this the man/predator must also understand the prey mentality. It's not enough just to chase down the herd.
Any wolf can knock off the weaker of the herd and live another day. While it may be unsettling, abhorrent, the weaker men, the betas do get fucked and have LTRs/Relationships. It's not the reasons they think nor is the quality they want and nor are they in control of them. Remember they are in denial of who they truly are. Only the most able predator will find the best prey and grow stronger, faster, and cement his place among the pack.
A large part of your journey is learning to be the predator and understanding your prey. In nature predators have some base level of ability they are born with but only the successful ones learn over time. The prey know from birth what to do and how to not be caught. As the predator gets stronger, has more presence in the world one could argue that society at large will and can stabilize. To be Alpha is to be able to affect the world around him.
