Some months ago a friend of mine got his LTR pregnant and in few months they are going to study abroad, with baby and all. Now that the baby is coming they are organizing a baby shower where they (as I heard from her) will "hand over an envelope" to each guest, men and women, single or in a relationship.

They need funds for living in London, extra stuff, because most is given by the state scholarship. So I don't feel any imperative to join the emasculation party. Now I'm saving to buy a place in the long term, so I'm afraid they won't have my money.

Are this parties also involving men now in other parts of the world?
