So thanks to TRP for last couple of months my life went skyrocketing! LTR improved extremely. Started running, reading, improving posture, exercise, socialize more, chin up, chest out, the whole package.

Then one small thing happened. My knee started to hurt. I had to stop running (fucking sucks, morning runners high is amazing). And it took the whole. fucking. house. down.

I took myself to a doctor (new one, cute one, successful flirt even, but GF so no further). The knee is fine now but guess what? Now it's my foot. I apparently went a little apeshit on the running. This still need sorting out.

My point is: this small inconvenience cost me a lot. Or to put it more accurately: I have let this small inconvenience cost me a lot. I am picking up the pieces and starting anew (taking up swimming etc.) but I can see this effect all parts of TRP life (not just self-improvement).

So. If you are new (as I fairly am). Keep your eye out on these small fuckers and sort them out ASAP. Also, if something keeps you from one part of your improvement plan, immediately find a replacement activity to keep the momentum of your efforts. If self-discipline is your weak point (as it is with me and many new TRPers I am sure), make it your number one focus because lacking that, everything will suffer and you will get nowhere and set yourself back all the time.

Edit 2: To those suggesting to drop cardio and endurance and only focus on lifting: I definitely want to take up lifting as well but for now I try to focus on body-weight excercise and endurance since my musculature is virtually nonexistant. I need to rebuild my basic musculature focusing on my back (I am 6 ft. 8 and after half my life in front of a PC I need to support my spine properly). After this I will definitely take up lifting.
