TL;DR- Women in their 20's want excitement and fantasy, older, less attractive "career" women want "joint checking accounts" and stability.

This article caught my eye while reading something else on this site. It's one of those fluff pieces written by a "Career woman" where she makes excuses for dating and fucking alphas and tries to spin it into those guys being "sad" when she can no longer attract them. Stuff like this:

When I was in college I dated a guy who always checked that I was listening closely before making proclamations like “Dead flowers are more beautiful than live flowers.” After learning my building had roof access, he insisted we sit up there one night and chain-smoke Marlboro 27s. I was too anxious that my super would find out, and he was disappointed. “You’re totally closed off!" he exclaimed. “You’re never open to what the world is telling you.” By “the world,” he obviously meant himself. If the world was telling me anything, it was Dump this idiot. (He was hot, though.)

Notice those telling last four words...hm. So all those "dumb" things he said in the moment...probably didn't seem so dumb at the time. They probably made her wet. Next paragraph directly:

This sort of guy can be irresistible, especially to goal-oriented women who need a break from obsessing about work. “I had serious obligations, and cared about success, and he was just, YOLO,” explains Beth, a 26-year-old union organizer, of her ex-boyfriend. “He was like, I'll read you my poetry and be romantic and freeing because I'll find things about you that are valuable that have nothing to do with your personal or career goals.” In your early 20s, they’re the opposite of the boring lawyer you “should” be dating.

So, what does that mean? Be fun. Be her release. Focus on having fun and having lots of sex with young women. They crave it. And before you take all this to be a signal to be a white knight, read this part

I asked Margaux whether the authority to recommend pop culture went both ways. “It was weird,” she said. “We were both writers and he really seemed to respect my work and think I was smart — but then he didn't respect me in conversation and didn’t care about my opinions. But he welcomed the opportunity to hold court.” She added: “I made him mixes, but I don’t think he ever listened to them.”

Oops. Chad doesn't actually care about your opinions or your mixtape. He "respected your work" and thought you were "smart" to get your panties off.

The article rambles on to paint women as career tycoons (and goes on to say that childless women out earn men in 39 of the 50 biggest cities...what happened to that there wage gap, again?) and have no time for such silly boys with age (more like the other way around). It concludes with the Wall-approaching strategy when women realize they need stability and to take a brief break from the alpha swirl to get their finances in order:

Now, successful and in our late 20s, my friends and I have begun to value romantic reality more than romantic fantasy: a guy offering his seat on the train in a crowded commuter car, Sunday afternoons at Crate & Barrel, joint bank accounts. As for the MPDBs, stuck in romantic fantasy — they’re sad, really. We’ve outgrown them.

Yes...how sad and pathetic these boys are now that you've got your pants suit on. Outgrown those hot guys, right?

Lessons: If you want to fuck hot chicks in their early 20s, be the alpha fantasy guy. Never try to be their equal, never bring up work or politics or anything real. Play to their emotions and fantasies without being a beta. Never try to be stability in their life or you will end up going to Crate & Barrel on a Sunday, spending from your joint checking account.
