That's the reason I never ever viewed a SM as a potential partner. Sure raising someone else child isn't a job I ever will accept. But the main reason is that I can't respect someone who have a child in an unstable relationship. I know they will keep argue that their relationship was good when they conceived, but that's just them lying or showing how clueless they are. That's also why a woman at 30 is to old for children, they are fertile a few more years and that's not enough to vet them for the long run. I'm kinda odd, looks are not important to me so, I don't mind how a 30+ looks but if she wants children, sorry it's to late. Then again a 30+ single woman without a kid is almost like some mythical creature where I live...

SM generally don't vet their men well, that's why I couldn't date one either. The amount of times I've heard about how their exes were "abusive/manipulative etc." and yet they thought it was a good time to have unprotected sex and carry the child to term, and be tied with that "manipulative asshole" for 18 years.
They don't think things through, that's why they're single mothers.

Exactly. Every time I hear about "abusive exes" I wonder feel saddened. I mean sure it's a real thing, but women are the one selecting, the literal gate keepers to life. If they don't take that selection seriously why should I take anything about them seriously?

I was at an international conference in subsaharan Africa a few years back. So I was talking to various academics at the host university, we were having wine and snacks at the evening reception, and an economics professor asked me: "So you live in Japan. Are you married to a woman there?" I said "Yes. I've been married for years." And he said: "And are you seeing girlfriends on the side?" And I was a little taken aback. Apparently, it's extremely common in that culture for men to have mistresses.

One of my best friends is fucking a single mom and she's told him she wishes she didn't have kids so they could be together (he knows he won't be a real man and step up). This is why I'm pro-monogamous, traditional family structures that keep society stable and provide healthy arrangements for children to be born into.
I don't think adding more misery and death is an adequate or morally good replacement for losing the traditional family. It seems to simply compound evil upon evil.
