One point against keeping the child, aside from the nice clean 'irresponsible-slut-gets-hers' point which we bring up here is simply the age of the couple. 22 years old? 20 years old? What a young age to be facing such a significant life-change. She would be a sophmore, he a senior in college, or just starting in the trades, etc.; both would be setting themselves up in life. A child is very expensive and will take a great deal of time. You shouldn't close doors for your future just because 'it's my son/daughter and I love it, and I have this idylic vision of our life as a family together.' No. Wait and consider what ramifications having a child really has. Adopt it away to a couple who are older, financially stable and would love a kid of their own. Otherwise you and your boyfriend will be locked in a relationship you may not want until you're 27 and she is 25.
