This is kinda sad, she kept up this ‘I don’t need a man’ exterior even though deep down she kinda wanted to have a family. She seems to have struggled with relationships and also had that fear of being abandoned. The death of her mother could be a major factor here. I’m sure she would have benefited from psychosocial support although I wouldn’t know if she got any or not for sure. Moral of the story is to be true to yourself rather than some feminist trend and don’t be afraid to seek help if you need it.
