You don’t pay. Period. It’s not about taking, it’s about showing he’s able to provide and willing to court you appropriately.

The best thing you can do is be gracious after he pays. Compliment him on the experience he paid for, not that he spent money on you. A good man will enjoy treating a woman if he sees that it makes her happy. Once you guys become official, bringing baked treats on occasion is fine in my books, same with paying for meals on occasion (<15% of times), or making/buying small gifts. But it all depends on your comfort level, none of these are necessary if he feels that you are gracious and reciprocating in some way, even if it's small.

Sorry, what? No, FDS does NOT say make him pay. FDS advocates to let him pay to show you he is serious about you. And yes, there is a difference there.
