background: when we initially started going out, i had not found out about fds and was quite brainwashed in that my default thought train was '50/50 is the fairest, i am independent woman who makes my own money, i can't be expecting him to pay for me as well! (i know, i was a clown hahaha), so it was rather natural to just offer to split....

but later on as we get to know each other and kept going on dates, he start paying more and more to the point that he take care of costs 100% of the time now.

what would be the FDS thought process on this ? is it generally okay to split at first and then transition to him paying more? or would splitting at first set the tone of the relationship in a way that does not respect our time/effort as well as his investment in us? i am curious to know is all
