If a guy tells you he did something wrong, either

  1. You have a discussion about it. He apologizes and doesn't share about it to you when it happens a second time.

  2. You don't tell him that it bothered you, so as to make it seem alright and he tells you when it happens again. This time, you vet him. But in his defence, he says he didn't realise he was doing something wrong because you didn't say anything the first time.

How to go about this situation?

If it's a HVM, he'll not repeat it. But you'll keep wondering whether he's hiding it. Or maybe a HVM won't do something that'll bother you.
