So I am doing online dating, which I know is discouraged here, but clearly I cant go out and meet people. I also have very specific requirements (specific religion which is a minority) and so I am open to talking to people from other cities and such.

I have read the handbook, like the texting strategies, but I am not sure what is considered NORMAL in terms of texting, and what is disrespect. Here are my expectations, and please tell me if I am overthinking it:

  1. Whenever a male matches with me, I expect him to message me immediately after matching. If I see theyve not messaged, I unmatch them immediately. Sometimes I give them some time, but usually I think "how dare they" and unmatch. I dont think they would treat their dream girl like this, so I dont accept that behaviour.
  2. When they leave me on read, I get irked, as I see it as disrespect.
  3. If I see them online but not replying to my message, I see it as disrespect.

Are these grounds for block and delete? Or should I be a little more patient? I really dont know, as I have not been taught what a healthy relationship looks like, so I am counting on yall.

And I know texting is not a relationship, but idk what else to call it.
