I've been following RP for close to a year now, and retrospect as to the previous status quo of my marriage is raising questions I can't seem to shake.

Right as I was beginning to swallow the pill, but still a BP puss-cake, my wife went out with friends and didn't come back until early the next morning. My gut tells me what I'm sure you're already thinking, that she was fucking around and thought she could sneak in before I was up.

Since then, there's been nothing suspicious, I've been tracking her movements, watching texts/emails and so on, but I can't decide how to handle this since it was around 9 months ago.

I've been going over options: 1) ignore it, its in the past and would be difficult to prove anyway, 2) talk to the friend she was out with (her friend has recently been giving me pretty serious IOIs and I'm thinking that could be leveraged into spilling the truth), or 3) confront the wife directly.

Ignoring it leaves this in the back of my mind, talking to the friend could result in her turning around and telling my wife I've been snooping, and confronting the wife about it seems pointless since she'd either lie or trickle-truth her way out of it.

I've been speaking with a lawyer for some time now, not necessarily related to this but to have my ducks in order should I opt for divorce in any case. If she was fucking around, I'll be able to calmly and confidently walk away from the marriage and let her enjoy the Wall on her own.
