Longtime TRP/MRP reader, 31y/o and plan to start posting here one of these days-once my pregnant girlfriend moves in with me and I start TRP hard mode for real. Lifting, reading side bar for now....

I want to thank you for changing my life and my perspective so much over the past couple of years. My question is: For those of you who hit "rock bottom" (i.e. Found your way here after r/deadbedrooms times x amount of years of shitty plugged-in marriage) and are now the best man you have ever been, do you think you would 100% have been better off had you known about MRP ideology from the get go?

I'm assuming the answer is yes. But I guess what I'm curious about is to what extent do your experiences being married for quite some time as a drunken captain and the repercussions therein contribute to your motivation/appreciation of what you are doing for yourself now in life? Did living through the hell of what you had gone through contribute at all to fuel your journey of self improvement more than had you not reached that point?
