the real problem is that the usual methods by which man was able to appreciate his efforts have gone.

I disagree. Think the real problem is that from an early age most men are taught a life strategy (be a nice guy) that does (edit)not work but they're told it will.

This is important to man because, deep down, he needs to be appreciated for his efforts.

I disagree. Men need women to be attracted to them so that they will respect them, have sex with them and have their children. The need for appreciation is part of the problem.

The economic and political problems are secondary.

In short: we hunt, we build, we protect…all the tasks we are no longer needed to do!

We still attract, fuck, decide, create, build, sell, manage and protect. The buck still stops with us and we deliver results.

I just don't much care for this type of post. I have read all of this in one form or another before. It is just tedious and long to me. Guess it would be valuable to some as a long summary of more in depth thinking, just not for me.

Also, play with the size, italics, bold, and whitespace. This looks like a giant wall of grey Ben-Day dots
