I used to do lots of things to give my wife attention whenever she wanted it. That marriage ended in divorce. I never knew why. Then I encountered the red pill. Now I know why.

Your ltr doesn't think you're jumping fast enough when she texts you? That's just fine. It makes her feel disconnected from the relationship, and then she needs to reconnect with you more when she actually gets to see you. This accomplishes several things, satisfies several of her needs. First off, she gets to ride the emotional roller coaster. She's a woman, and she likes to experience the full range of human emotion on a daily basis. So if she feels really connected to you when you're together, but starts to miss you when you're not, then that encourages her to crave your company. So, more sex for you. She wants to feel that she can rely on you, but that she needs to work to keep you around. This is a NEED that she has. If she feels she can take you for granted, it will lessen her attraction to you. If you're never absent, then she can't miss you, and then you're denying her the full range of human emotion.

I'm no genius about this and whether it's a shit test or whatever, but I tried that for a bit and I don't do that routinely anymore. I'm not an inflict stress routinely for the hell of it type.

Really, I'd only silenced the read replies because I used to feel anxiety about replying. Disabling read reduced the anxiety, but I quickly realized that it comes off as cowardly and passive aggressive. "I'm ignoring you" is too aggressive a signal. Instead I've spent some time working on only replying only if I actually need or want to. For me the read receipt signals "I don't have anything to say at the moment" or "I'm too busy to reply".

It's a shit test. Reply with a non-sequitor, agree & amplify to absuridty, or whatever else floats your boat.

If she's getting pissy just hit her back with something silly delfecting her bs. For example..

"Sorry, about to got robbed by pigeons. Going to hire an alley cat as muscle, will talk to you later."

She's trying to take away your power to withdraw your presence in response to her bad behavior. This is not a little shit test. It's a big power play.

Give a vague, non-answer like "read receipts are annoying," then batten down the hatches and prepare not to relent for anything, because she's going to throw a tantrum that's way out of proportion to the situation, I guarantee it. Because it's not about the read receipts. It's about you coming when called like a good doggie.

IMO while you are going through the "text withdrawal" you can't just shut completely. Like most things you should wean them off the connection.

A simple: busy day

I used that twice and now the wife doesnt expect a reply. In fact I find that she increases her texts but they are a little better quality in terms of happy, funny things she's seen or doing (not tit pics yet).

Then I might send "funny" "wow thats messed up"
