What are your thoughts on Plan B and other contraceptives?

Many forms of contraceptions including plan B and IUDs prevent implantation of the fertilized egg to the womb which is why many Christians think they are abortifacient drugs (e.g. causing miscarriages).

The pill and other hormonal drugs increase rates of cancers, life threatening blood clots, and other serious side effects including libido. Funny how feminists don't talk about that. I would never recommend them, and I would never let my wife use them.

Overall, you're asking the wrong questions here. You should evaluate your reasoning on why you're recommending or considering using them in the first place. If it doesn't come from a place of faith in God, it's almost always a bad choice.

In the context of marriage, I do not see a problem with it. Plan B is basically super concentrated birth control for "accidents" if the couple does not want a pregnancy at the time. Having children is a big step. If a couple wants to wait I encourage them to wait.

However, I will say for a single female (Christian) I feel differently because they should not be having sex anyways and birth control only encourages the cock carousel in a secular context.

Depends on how you define abortion. Some people believe life starts at conception. Others later on at heartbeats and brainwaves. Lastly, some believe life starts at birth.

Are there repercussions of contraceptives besides emotional mood swings & hormonal imbalance?

Since they effect hormones, it can have a lot of side effects from mild to severe and a woman should work out the best options with her doctor. It's something that needs a lot of tuning and then still changes more as she gets older.

Do they hinder you spiritually?

Anything can hinder anyone spiritually. Alcohol, secular music, speeding....
