Why does this work?
[–]anal_coke27 points28 points29 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It works and has never failed because it was endorsed by Jesus Christ

It's lighthearted and funny. And shows that you don't care that she's acting peeved.

Demonstrates a willingness to take a risk and have the whole thing go to shit.
In other words, that you have fucking balls.

Women shit test all the time. They are testing (at a subconscious level) to see how you react to BS. If you're easily rattled by these tests/comments, you're essentially as pathetic and fun to laugh at as the hot headed kid on the play ground everyone else makes fun of when he is mad. It shows you are a child and can't control your emotions, so why would she bother fucking you let alone want to be around you.
A&A allows for a perfect response. It 'sarcastically' allows you to agree with her absurd comment, then flip it and make fun of it. All without sounding butthurt over what she said.
Her - "Nice pants, did you buy them at the goodwill?"
You - "Yeah, they were on sale buy 2 get 20 free." and for pressure flip "how many child labor slaves in China did it take to make your shirt?"
A combination of witty humor to over amplify her comment to essentially make it sound like you were not bothered. You act like you are okay with shopping at Goodwill, as if it is the norm, then chuck in something like "and it was on sale" since the idea behind Goodwill is you're shopping as someone who can't afford to shop at a real clothing store. Compare that to if you were to respond with "What?! NO! I'll have you know these pants cost $200!!!!!" Which do you think stayed in frame and was more 'cool, calm, and collected' or a response?

Cus only insecure people get offended and angry
[–]Grantevans19870 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because you can’t argue with someone that’s agreeing with you.
It’s a shit example. Using agree and amplify in this situation is unneeded and retarded.

She says, boy, I hate his song, you say This Song! My mom dies to this song, I'm going to kill the DJ It spikes the mood and sets you up to keep leading conversation

What if you like the song and say this songs awesome ? I’m not Gona say some dumb shit like that just to agree because I like the song and she doesn’t

Do it on a different thing. The theory is find something she mentions, agree with it and low it out of proportion to make you seem more interesting for saying the same thing. Bonus points if you show you're funny
If she doesn't like the song she can suck it. Your music tastes are your won God damn business and your breaking frame to please her if that's your problem. You agree with something she says or does before and amplify the mood at which it came from to have a more exciting conversation. You liking a song is not agreeing, if she doesn't like that song keep it on because you like it and you want to hear, that's just how confident you are in yourself and it shows you have your priorities straight

So if she’s like your not even that hot. You say I know I’m Probabaly the ugliest person ever
[–]icecruzader0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ugliest person in the room to keep her in the present but yeah. That could work too. It's mostly in the delivery, it's meant to be an exaggerated joke that follows the conversation thread.
