I'm TRP endorsed (you're demanding an answer from one of us, though it doesn't matter because we're not special, and furthermore, we aren't required to answer your questions in the first place)

I'm also short (about as short or shorter than you) so hopefully my words will actually make you listen.

Height matters insofar as it is better to be tall than to be shorter (within reason, anything past 6'4" might be a small negative vs 6'2").

That being said, height alone isn't going to preclude you from dating a girl taller than you or shorter than you by itself, unless you're absolutely ridiculously short (like 5'4", which you're nowhere near).

I've found the following:

Short (5'3" and under) girls are typically easy to get interested. Your height won't be an issue here.

Medium height (5'3" to 5'7") girls are going to be the hardest. Not impossible by ANY means, if you've got a decently high SMV. Just moderately harder.

Taller girls paradoxically I found to be easier. Maybe it was because they have less options or something. I suspect the extremely hot taller girls are more choosy, but say a 7 or an 8 tall girl? Probably just doesn't have access to a 6'2"+ guy that she desperately wants.

This is all qualitative and based on my personal experience, so take it with a gigantic salt shaker. I honestly urge all short men to stop thinking about height, because thinking about it won't help you out at all. You want a girl, go for her.

At the end of the day, it's all about value though. You're not thinking of yourself as the prize (you're framing this as "can I get this type of girl"), and you need to fix that. Height doesn't preclude you from any girl. Only your perceived value (of which height is a component, albeit not a huge component) does.

NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR HEIGHT EXCEPT YOU. This gets asked far too many times here. If you make it an issue, then it will be an issue. If you let it be a chip on your shoulder, women will see that as a HUGE negative. Seriously, height has NOTHING to do with dating women. People keep saying it helps, but it doesn't. It seriously doesn't. Focus on important things like confidence, demeanor, conversation skills, hygiene, etc.

If she's shorter than you it wouldn't matter what your height is. Nor should it even if she was taller. You'll have no trouble getting women shorter than you if you've got good game. I'm 5"11 and I tend to game shorter women in general because it's my preference. I've had no trouble whatsoever.

I'm 5'8" and I rarely find it to be an issue because I'm confident. Try this though, a bit weird of an experiment, but wear height boosting insoles. You could pump up an extra inch and a half (wear boots so your heel doesn't pop out). Try approaching now.

You will feel a difference. Women will be more responsive.

I'll bet you a million dollars it'll only be because of your confidence. Take the fucking things off and pretend you're ten feet tall.

I used to get hit with "how tall are you" and "how old are you" 50% of the time when I first started spinning plates and cold approaching. 15 lbs more muscle and lots more lays I don't get those shit tests as often. I'll even fail it on purpose when it comes up. I alternate between giving the answer quickly and saying 4'3" or some thing way off.

I'm about your height and have little trouble plating taller girls. Once you sleep with a few tall ones you'll see its not a big difference.

Doesn't being tall help? Yeah raises your Smv by 1-2 points. You make up for it with game, muscle, and fashion

People here are bored by these question most of them are lying to you. yeah you will score more if you act if you are tall but you are not, it's like faking abundance when men are in scarcity, it works to fake abundance but the truth is just by being men you have an handicap.

I have the same height as you and I can tell you that short or average girl all want a tall guy in general even if they are really short , so you are in disadvantage act like if you were tall will give you more success.

Fix what you cannot fix if you are the right guy you will be shamed for not wanting to date tall girl, improve then when you'll see a tall girl sending you IOI tell some shit like " how can a guy date a girl taller than him " then let her explain you why you are being an asshole for thinking the way the average girl think. She wants you but if she could get you in a bigger model she'll forget the small you.

Read it the right way, you'll never get the amount of girls you could get if you were 6'5, but it's possible to get a girl taller than you, you have a serious disadvantage by not thinking about it you are helping yourself.

You're worrying too much about something that you can't control. Focus on what you can control and improve that. For example, if you're 5'8 and jacked, that is more attractive than a guy who is 6'2 and super skinny.

Become the best version of you and don't waste time on something you have zero control over.
