I haven't field-tested this response, reaching out to see whether any of you guys have and how it came off:

Met HB8 at a Latin dance party the other night. She gave me IOI's, came over qualified herself as a beginner and I pulled her on the dance floor.

I gamed her, kino, tease. She hooked. Later we danced again and had a chat. Started running comfort. She asked what I did, said "You seem passionate about your music".

I number closed her. Pretty basic open and number close.

I sent her a text later: "Hey smiley girl, cool night."

She replied in the morning and was quite responsive:

Her: "hi xxx"

I send ping text, she replies, I tease her, she responds.

The I suggest a meet up: "if you promise not to step on my feet let's meet up for drinks. What's your schedule? I'm free next week.

Her: I'm out of town next week.

Here's where it felt like a brush off but she had mentioned something when we met about going away. Normally I would just ignore or move on. But since I got the IOI's and she seemed keen I responded with a punt, the "Assume the sale text."

Me: "cool, let's do something when you're back. safe travels"

Normally I wouldn't respond this way but thought I'd try it.

She didn't reply. Thoughts? Blow off? Hamster spinning afraid to commit without a definite schedule? Was I overly positive?
