Do all these in the future to control the cold sores. Like others said cancel date you don’t want to kiss a girl and transfer that to her mouth. If you went down on her with an outbreak you can also give her genital herpes incase you were unaware.

Cancel your date, reschedule for next week, Go get abreva, apply 5 times a day. It should take about a week to heal. Most people have cold sores (or known as HPV-1 oral). It’s nothing to worry about, but going to the docs is never a bad idea.

Don't stress it, but I'd probably cancel since you're self-conscious. Herpes is the most overrated disease out there. People think it's the end of the world if they catch it and talk shit about how others are dirty... All the while not knowing they already have it.

You will continue to get them, but usually less often over time. Your doc can give u daily drugs if it is bad. It is herpes, probably hsv-1. It's rare but you can get hsv-2 orally as well. Many people get hsv1 young, even before they're sexually active. Most people don't have symptoms for hsv1 or 2. Many of the people that talk shit don't even know they have it. The CDC doesn't recommend testing without symptoms because the stigma is the worst part of it and many of the test give false positives (at least in the past).

Most of the time it is passed when no symptoms are present.

You can get it other places too. I got hsv1 on my back from wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in high school. The one advantage there, is it makes it unlikely for me to get it elsewhere. They call HSV 1 herpes gladiatorum when you get it from sports like wrestling, boxing, American football or rugby.

There are 9 known types of herpes. We all have at least one type. They are viruses that are in your nerve cells. Some common examples are chicken pox (varicella zoster) and mono (Epstein-barr).

I've had (really is in you forever) chicken pox, mono, and herpes gladiatorum that I know of. I could easily have other types of the 9 and wouldn't even know it.

If you're spinning plates, some of those plates have herpes. The plates don't even know they have it.
