I always let my plates take care of me when I'm sick, but with the knowledge it will knock me a few pegs down in her eyes.

The key is that I'm never afraid to lose one of them.

Do you. Let her take care of you, let that plate spin. You have a relation with her, she's doing right by helping you out. That does not mean you elevate her, put her on a pedestal or anything like that, you just know she's reliable. There's knowledge there.

Under the pretext of taking care of you, no. Promoting motherly instincts isn't very sexy. If you can reframe her visit, then maybe.
