Okay, let's skip right past the part where you play the /r/iamverysmart card . . . because . . . fuck it, no one gains anything from that happy horseshit.

Context matters a lot. If you're in a college/academic context, there's upside in providing an engaging intellectual conversation. Think of the "chicks who want to fuck the professor" sort of situational alpha. Any scenario where everyone has their eyes fixed on one guy in front of the group is alpha.

If you're just hurling this shit out at the lunch table in HS, tho, you'll probably come off as an ass.

This sort of engagement is majorly context-sensitive. If you can keep it light and playful, intellect allows to you DHV. Think something along the lines of the opening classroom scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Intellectual command is at minimum situationally alpha, even if it's the also first step toward a Title IX hearing if you work at a US university.

If you get all /r/iamverysmart, however, you'll come off as an angry incel.

You never mentioned the shit tests.

Even the rare women that enjoy being intellectually challenged in a conversation don't think it's particularly sexy. If you want to be sexy you'll always have to tune down your demand from her brains and work your way through her emotions, teasing. There's no working around that.

You'll notice that women that are attracted to you and assessing your for the AF role won't try to talk about hard issues, even if they can and enjoy. They'll tease and play on a higher and more interesting level though, and probably shit test in much stronger ways.

I like intelligent women, but the shit tests come fast and furious. You have to give her something to Hamster about because smart girls have hyena-sized Hamsters. Tease her about her brains, both that she is too smart - "Shouldn't you be wearing your 'nerd glasses'?" or when she does something dopey, "What did you do that for?" or "Did they teach you that a 'Braniac School'?"

Or just be flat out sexist, "You remind me that women should be FELT and not HEARD...." with a big smirk.

so here we go:

the primary things I talk about with women are philosophy, psychology, and travel. If a girl can't engage me on these topics I immediately next.

These topics do not dry panties like the kalahari. you do. building sexual tension and using kino while also engaging her intellect is infinite SMV.

I don't wanna one-up them, or show them that i actually know more and they're just being silly talking about these topics.

Look up amused mastery. focus on making her feel smart/good/validated that you value her over her beauty. if you know as much as you say you do, this should be extremely easy.

Guide the discussion with your questions and just let her talk. use that time to build tension and initiate kino. IE: the more she talks, the more you get to understand how smart she is, and that makes her sexier and sexier. Use your body language to say this.

Anyway to defuse the smart girl shit tests.

I wouldn't even consider this a shit test. it's just you failing at building tension and not having a sexual frame.
