So, I'm 51, divorced 5 years, have kids, great job, pretty great life overall. Total beta until I got divorced and found RP - it was crystallized in retrospect when I recall my ex telling me to 'man up!'....ah yes, the good ol days.

As I get older though, I can clearly see how the priorities of women switch to looking for security and stability from a good provider, particularly if they are past 40 and already had kids. If they aren't yet 50, they are usually experiencing some sort of midlife crisis over being single and unattached to a long term provider, even if they have a decent job. And if the are 50+, forget it, they are in full blown panic mode and will date anything with a pulse and a bank account.

So I feel like I'm in this sweet spot of attracting a lot of women in the 35-45 range that still look decent and are eager to find a man with my qualities. Yet, for all of the plates I've had, none have given me 'the talk'. Part of it I think is that my kids are younger and its clear I have a very well defined life with them, so they'd have to in part be agreeable to being more involved with them to be in a LTR with me.

And now, I have a plate that's been around now for almost a year, is pretty involved with my life, but she has not brought up 'the talk'. Should I thank my lucky stars that she hasn't? I assume she hasn't because she still wants her options open, although I assume women will always keep their options open whether they claim exclusivity with you or not. So, if she hasn't bothered to bring up the talk with me, does that automatically disqualify her as LTR material?

TL;DR: Is she LTR material if she doesn't initiate the talk?
