Workout programs are great for beginners because, to me, it really pushes me to not skip any days, do the whole workout routine for the day without skipping a set, and following the nutrition program (hardest part).
I've done like 5 different workout programs and they all have their ups and downs. I've done 2 strenth programs: SQUAT EVERY DAY, and SHORTCUT TO STRENGTH. 2 weight loss programs: REWIRED, and SHORTCUT TO SHRED, and currently doing a mass program: SHORTCUT TO SIZE.
These 5 workout programs do require a gym, so I recommend getting a membership. If you can't pay $10 a month for your local planet fitness, look up body weight workout plans (P90x and Insanity are 2 of them).

All you need is a routine. 4-5 exercises, 10 reps a set. Something simple. Start with that. Watch people and learn what works and try it. Get a gym buddy. Build your knowledge on experience, keep building and don't get lazy. You'll see results. Don't worry about programs in the beginning.

I bought a pull-up/dip/push-up station for $80 and have been hitting that with a very simple routine and seeing great results.
Mon: chin-ups and dips Tue: rest/long walk Wed: rest/long walk Thur: push-ups Fri: pull-ups Sat: rest/long walk Sun: rest
Two days off will give you enough time in between to be able to heal. Since it's bodyweight exercises, most people suggest going until complete failure and to always switch up your routines, pace, reps, and sets.
Here's a really good video of a vegan getting ripped doing bodyweight exercises and gives a lot of good advice on how he achieved his results:

They can be good....consistency is the key.
One tip...start light and just do the full rep..let your muscles get use to the movements....it will also reduce the amount of soreness is often causes newbies to eject soon after starting.
And remember he contraction of the muscle and the flow of blood thru the tissue is what breaks it down causing it to be rebuilt larger.
Once your muscles are use to the full motion...then go as heavy as you can...it is the quickest way to size....along with diet.

Anyone who types anything about P90x Insanity besides Autistic ADHD Marketing Extravaganza has not used the search function or read any of Red Pill fitness articles. In fact this question has been answered so many times and by me specifically that you deserve nothing from us but shame.
Boooooo! SHAME!

Screw workout programs. Train with bros, who are successful. There's more than just workout programs you need to look into nutrition etc.
I started from my bro training me how to weight lift.

Yes they help. I recommend Greyskull LP. It'll keep you gaining forever and takes the thinking out of it.

No. Lift and eat right, stop hamstering excuses not to develop self discipline and do the work.
You are the workout program.

This is awful advice. "You are the workout program", what the fuck are you talking about

That it's up to him to develop a workout plan and diet. That he is searching for a simple way to get back in shape, when there isn't one. It's about developing life long habits, not jumping on some plan that will fall through or end. There is plenty of information on the internets about how to eat during a bulk or a cut, and how to lift as well. He's lazy, just like you are when you criticized my advice instead of doing what you consider better.
Peace slobs.
