I'd also add that buying drinks 'just for her company' is not only a display of her time/company being more valuable than your own, it's fundamentally bullshit as it's a covert contract: I buy you a drink and make nicey nicey small talk then you are expected to fuck me.

The point is that much better openers are about her such as:

I would say that the only time that it is appropriate to buy drinks is when your out with a group to show abundance.

If you open by offering to do something for a girl in exchange for her time, you're demonstrating that you are lower value than her and she's not going to be interested. Fucking doesn't generally happen if the girl doesn't perceive the guy to be higher value than herself. That's mostly what game is about. Buying drinks for girls is fine though once they've invested in the interaction with you a little (complied with whatever you've done/not left). They've all grown up watching movies with the alpha lead buying the girl a drink. It's definitely not bad if you do it right.

So he's right but for the wrong reasons. And he's awkward as fuck for using pickup terminology outside of a pickup forum.

i don't buy drinks... because i don't drink. if a woman asks, "will you buy me a drink?" i tell them, no.

if they ask, why not, i reply... "i only have sex with sober women."

if they're rude, i just ignore them, turn away, and walk-off.
