you'll get used to. Trust me, it feels good to know you have a better body than most guys.
I look down and I see fat and I think "Disgusting" mastery over the self INCLUDES the body.
I only been lifting for 3 months but loving it. Long term goals my friend, who do you want to be at 30?

So, isn't eating like I did a shortcut here?
Gluttony does produce dopamine so I dont blame you for confusing it with happiness, is commiting a slow suicide really the way you want to live? Your motivation should be to become attractive, become the guy women fantasise about, become a modern day Adonis. I won't lie its really fucking hard and that's why there's more fat people than there are ex-fat people.
Source: I've lost ~40kg of fat since November, bulking now, AMA if you want.

You've been abusing food for years. You need to pay the price aka do a long cut (about 1 year).
The lifting lifestyle is actually good for people who like eating: you need lots of calories and in a bulk you HAVE TO eat more than you need. Except you gain muscle instead of fat, because you lift. Then, after a few months of bulking, you do a few weeks of cutting to lose the fat you gained in the process and go back to bulking.
I DESPISE excercising.
Starting to exercice is difficult at the beginning, but after some time it becomes a need: you will be happy to go lifting. If you have not done sports regularly in your life it could be hard for you to believe it, but it actually happens. The beginning is the hardest: IT GETS EASIER.
Do it man, in a couple years you can have the fit body you want to have, and can have. If you don't do it at 18 it will get more and more difficult as time passes.

The truth is that if you figure this out for yourself you will be that much stronger, and owning the self-discovery will likely make the change become lasting and permanent. Stop relying on others to motivate you. Force yourself to do something even if your brain doesn't want to. Learn this or you will be stuck in mediocrity forever.

What's your question? Is eating in an unhealthy way a shortcut to happiness? Yes, very temporary hits of happiness at the expense of future happiness. You're mortgaging your future.
What do you want to be convinced of? That eating right will make you thin and being thin will be happy and healthy? You don't need anyone to convince you of that. What you're looking for is someone to reduce the pain of self control. Discipline is painful. Self control is hard. Nothing we tell you will remove that. You just get use to the pain. Read some more works by the stoics and I'd also recommend this short guide to you.

Take the Intermittent Fasting (IF) approach. By reducing your intake window to 1/3 of the day (16 hour fast) you can reduce your weight without really exercising. "Eat less, exercise less"
Disclaimer - The weight will come off but you'll end up "skinny fat" and very weak. You should reconsider not exercising.

Eating a shit ton and not exercising is not natural. If it were up to nature, you would not survive. Do what's natural, get outside, learn to enjoy walking, and eat like a human being was meant to eat.

Great reference point to chech myself. Thanks.

Get outside, start moving more, and eat natural foods. Just do it. I promise you that you will improve. You don't need to run... sprints are ok, but just do something. Anything.

In the end, isn't it about being happy?
Well, I have to admit that since I've lost 100lbs, got in shape, swallowed the pill and yadda yadda, I've experienced a shitload more existential crisis and emotional breakdowns that I did back when I was fat, but I wouldn't change back to my older self for anything.
Why you ask? Well it's because of the amazing amount of options I now have earned the right to choose from, in another words, abundance, I now truly have abundance.
I now have the choice to eat pizza every single night for a whole month, even though I wouldn't, and that won't even put a scratch on my bloodwork, because my health is optimal.
I now have the choice of telling a guaranteed lay to fuck off, if for whatever petty reason I feel like doing so, because even if I don't have women waiting in line to suck me off, I know I have what it takes to find a replacement easily.
I now can choose freely whether to wear comfortable loose clothes, or trendy tight clothes, or whatever the fuck I want to wear really. Irony is that now if clothes don't fit me, it' either because my back is too wide or my quads are too big.
Last week my cousin offered me to go skydiving, I've been offered that three times in my life, this time I chose not to go, before they wouldn't let me because of my weight.
And the list goes on and on, as a former fat fuck, you only think you're happy because you're on a diet and the only thing you can think of is food, I dare you to honestly think about all those moments when you felt like the fattest, most ugliest useless piece of shit in the world, because I remember those days, and I can bet you had plenty of them already.

Willpower is a finite quantity. Stack the game in your favor with strategy and tactics.
The Slow Carb Diet is simple and effective. No calorie counting or "dieting." Just a more effective menu leveraging science and behavior change.
I have 5+ years of experience with this. It works.
Once you've mastered this, you can upgrade to harder levels.
