After sex my girlfriend started asking me unironically to tell her she was pretty, tell her she was good in bed, and saying "You're the best I ever had, and the best I will ever have, ok, say it back".

And I just laughed and told her "no begging, you're acting like rex (my annoying dog who begs to be pet)"

Then she started accusing me of various things like messing with her on purpose by never complimenting her like I did when the first month we dated. Which is 100% true. After I started reading TRP more I completely stopped giving her validation and she noticed the difference. She is too smart to not realize I am doing this on purpose. She knows all her friends boyfriends compliment their appearance and that this is not normal.

What would have been a better response to her questions today? What are examples of clever ways to avoid giving validation?
