Guy vs girl roommates?

You're better off with guys. Everyone I know who had mixed room mates in college had major issues. Not just with other girls, but life in general.

It's not so easy to run game when a girl is around. They don't get it. They aren't in "wingman mode" when they see you with a girl, especially if they catch feelings, which they are likely to. Nothing drives a girl crazy like a high SMV guy parading around girls and not showing them attention. Decent chance they sabotage you, decent chance they throw themselves at you at some point, guaranteed to end badly. I've hear stories of drunk and horny room mates striking out, coming home, walking around naked, and bending over to pick up the phone they keep dropping until someone cracks and fucks them. Then, regret it, and you have a hell of an awkward living situation.

Not even going to get started on the complaining about who does what, the arbitrary rules, the mood swings, the bitching, etc.

Here's a few examples from my past cohabitations.

1) girls aren't clean. Not the vast majority of them. Messy living space is almost guaranteed.

2) catching feelings. Rented a side room to about 6 people over 2 yrs. Every girl (4/6) caught feelings. Walking around in the main area in skimpy underwear, sometimes bottomless, pissed when I'd say "that's not appropriate" 2 accidentally ended up in my bedroom twice, nude, and supposedly smashed. (They knew what they were doing)

3) girl I shared a place with, ltr, perfect until she found out how much I was making, went bitch demanding mode. Fuck that.

4) let a plate chill at my place for a full month (never again) she was already trying to redo the drapes after 2 weeks. "Seriously you live 2 States away what happened to that job interview bitch"

5) rent lease agreement saved me from a crazy who wanted to lock me out of my own house. Fuck that.

6) the one good girl, worth maybe long term cohabitation, became too much effort to keep in line, all because I fix things when I see them. She realized missing chores meant I'd just do them "it's automatic I need a clean castle" my fuck up but still, she reduced herself to nothing aside from great sex, not enough added value to keep her around.

7) stayed in Majorca with a girl for two weeks. By the end of it she's trying to get me to pay part of her rent. (I know for a fact, documentable, she had the cash, she just wanted more to spend on stupid shit

Just don't man.

Just fucking don't. The entitlement is unreal.

Edit I know I'm stupid, this is nowhere near close to all of my screw ups, it took maybe 8 years to internalize you don't sign women you live with. Only when distance applies and your a landlord by name on paper only. "Not personal"

In college, I had two female roommates for two years (Year 3 & 4). The one was woman dated the same guy the entire time (they got married). The other one was single most of the time.

They both had issues but they never, thank God, cock blocked me. They gave me shit when a woman would leave in the morning but it wasn't a big deal.

The worst was when they complained about everything. They cried a lot. We didn't share a bathroom so I never had to deal with that BS. They barely ate so I never had to worry about them eating my food. If anything, they were mad at me because I was loud sometimes.

The boyfriend of the one girl was a good guy. I would take him out, get him drunk and escort him back to his girlfriend. She would be pissed but that was his problem.

Aside from that it, I was fortunate. With all that being said, would I do it again? No.

Women can be tolerable- my last year of college I was splitting an apartment with a woman, she was actually reasonably clean, paid her part of the rent, and wasn't whiny.

Most, are not. Especially when you're talking about college. You're caught in their paradox where they want to show how strong and independent they are and how they don't need mommy and daddy anymore but the moment things get a little rough, they suddenly really need you to be their parent. They want you to clean up after themselves since their parents never taught them to be remotely tidy. They want you to take care of the rent because girls don't pay rent! They want you to be the adult because responsibility is scary.

I've lived with both. I've even lived in a house with 3 girls and just me. It was a great experience.

It completely depends on the person. There can be great guy and girl roommates, there can be terrible guy and girl roommates.

If you do live with a female roommate, she needs to be cool with you bringing women back to the house, or else you're going to have a bad time.

Ive done it both ways, better off with guys.

Women are flakey, they will forget to do things, they are so used to everyone pandering to them and doing shit for them that they are really not good with things like basic chores and remembering to lock the doors when they leave or turn the alarm system on.

Its all because they have never been forced to accept responsibility or accountability for anything they have done in their life.

My girl roommate recently moved out. I also have a guy roommate.

When I bring random girls home, they don't care that much about him knowing they are there slutting it up.

They definitely didn't like being "Judged" by one of their own ...
