having white teeth is more important than perfectly straight teeth IMO, assuming they aren't completely FUBAR.

my teeth were fucked up, so I got braces... I keep em white.. this shit matters a great deal

You most likely have a few cavities. You have to fix these first and then move unto whitening. I was in the same boat as you, I had to fix over a dozen cavities even though my teeth didn't show it. Don't delay. Whitening is more important that crooked assuming they aren't fucked up looking.

Yes it matters. I've had braces for 6 years and they're finally coming off in January and I'm a sophomore in college. It's going to boost my confidence I can already tell now that I can give those charming smiles without having to worry about fucked up teeth. Yes it matters. Be the best version you can be.

If you have the money definitely invest in braces.

I had braces for roughly 2 years in high school & was one of the best things I've ever done. My teeth are always the first thing girls notice & get tons of compliments for it.

Teeth are a relatively easy way to improve your looks.

Smiledirectclub is affordable if you're a good candidate.
Whitening's a good idea. 2x as noticeable if you're tan.

22 here. Had my braces for a bit more than a year now. Like 3 months left to go, before i can show my fine ass straight teeth

Let me tell you, straight teeth are fucking important. You will always will self-aware with croocked teeth, especially now when everyone has straight teeth

I got my braces at 21, i don't care i have braces, you also wouldn't. Do it fucking now, why? Because in 12-18 months you will look back, and think: damn if i had gotten my braces then i would be able to take them off now.

A nice white smile can raise your smv by 1. I noticed this in a group picture I was in. I was in the middle surrounded by a girl leaning down showing her boobs and a girl behind me smiling staring at me. I saw that 2 guys on the far side of the picture stood out more because they had nice smiles showing their teeth vs me with a closed smile.

Pay attention and you'll start to notice this

Teeth are one of the first things women notice. Good dentistry, especially in the US, is a minor status symbol.

You need to suck it up, get the X-rays from a proper dentist (not this smiledirectclub bullshit people are pimping) and go from there. Good dental work takes time and involvement.

Make sure you go to a younger dentist. The old dudes aren't familiar with some of the newer techniques. It will make the difference between a filling and a root canal if anything bad appears in the X-rays.

Also, you'd be amazed how much difference finding a good dental hygienist can make once you get everything squared away. Much cheaper to keep up with hygienist visits than to keep getting work done.

All that needs to be done before you even joke about braces.

Is it possible to whiten teeth that aren't actually, well, teeth? I brush every morning & evening these days, but I neglected my teeth in my teens and ended up having cavities in the front upper half of most of my commonly visible teeth. Those were filled in with whatever it is dentists use, some kind of plastic. They work great, but that filling has a yellowish tint.
