I’ve been lifting for about 7-8 years. My physique and lifts are well above average but not God-tier or anything. BF around 13-15%. 6’1” and good looking. I’ve recently been looking for a new aspect to improve in because although everything else seems good deep inside I still feel like a pussy. In terms of holding frame (women& men) and self-esteem is lacking. I normally have a booming voice but when I’m around people I automatically lower my voice so as to not create waves. There’s a deep rooted pussification in me that I believe getting hit in the ring might get rid of. I started boxing about 2 weeks ago ( stopped lifting for now because I don’t have time for both) and plan of continuing for a while. Anybody with martial arts experience that can attest to what it does for self-esteem, confidence, frame, etc? Thanks.

Edit: I’m not quitting lifting for good, but I’ve been lifting for a while and feel I need to get on something new. Planning on getting back into the gym in a year.

Edit 2: Also I’m not getting into boxing to hurt people, but I get the understanding that knowing you’re able to hold your own in most situations will carry over into your day to day interactions. I heard it makes you calmer and changes the way you carry yourself.
