Thanks, I will keep that in mind. Well, I hate to admit it, but I in my heart she's still special to me. And I still want to try and make it work. She was my first gf and after 4,5 months our relationship ended. I had a tough time to get over it and she still passes my mind daily.

But in my head I guess we can't make it work, because the relationship was very short. And months before our relationship I dated with her and after a while she said it didn't work out for an unkown reason. After that I kept NC and after 4-5 months she asked me if I want to grab a drink with her, and that she said it didn't worked out because she still wasn't over her ex. After that I agreed to grab a drink and it resulted in the 4.5 months relationship, which she ended out of the blue because of some irritations.

So I guess I can't get back with her and I should forget her, don't you agree? Actually, sometimes I don't give a fuck, but when I feel alone I miss the relationship life with a girl, which directly makes me think of our time together

By the way she texted: "I don't know if it's suitable for me to say this, but happy birthday x". Like I'm mad at her or something, but I just texted a "Hi, thanks!" back. Should I also have said that she shouldn't mind it?

I took the time to read your /r/relationships post so here's my take.

like most have said, 'thx' is all you need to reply with.

The 'I dont know if its suitable....' is just a shit test. What it really means is "i treated you like shit during the breakup, put everything on you and asked for a break, are you going to continue to let me walk all over you (by replying, 'nah its cool') or do you have balls enough to not let me have my way"

This girl already had you beneath her heel and just making sure you're still there before she steps on you again. Not LTR material, not worth worrying about. Sex with an ex is half a step above masturbation. Go work on yourself and bang two chicks, then see if you still care about her.

Respect yourself FIRST.

edit: just a heads up, you have oneitis here already. this well is poisoned and you need to stay the hell away. Probably want to look out for this (oneitis)in the future. If you're acting like this after a <5month relationship, what are you going to be like after 2years?

First of all, you're a pro. And you hit the nail right on the head.

When reading your comment, I guess it's most definitely a shit test. She dit treat me like shit, you're right, I just thought it was the way it goes but it ain't the way you should treat people.

About oneitis, I already thought I had it. I already kept NC, I think what I need right now is to have a one night stand, a date or a LTR with another girl who is better than her.

Feel much better thanks to this post and the topic how to know your dating a slut, lol. Both made me realize I should stop worrying about her.

Do you also know other activities to cure oneitis? Do you know any TRP must reads by the way (besides the side-bar, maybe about gaining more confidence and getting a more positive attitude) I'm new here and I want to gather more knowledge.

First of all, I'm no pro. I'm just a dude trying to help another dude but after reading your other post and having been in that same situation, I knew exactly what was going on.

Good job with the no contact. It's best. You'll always want to get in that ass one last time but its just not worth it.

Getting with another girl is a GREAT way to get over oneitis. Just don't get desperate. You're still the prize. Even without rebound sex you will still get over this, a lil booty just helps speed it along.

As for curing oneitis, the only cure is to get it worse for another girl. Thats it. and trust me, you don't want that any time soon.

You're in college, there should be a fuck ton of things to do around there. I don't know your hobbies but fucking get into one. I GREATLY advise some type of martial art/boxing/wrestling. This one activity does so much for men its insane. Comradery, physicality, confidence, humility. You gain all these things and know how to defend yourself from a few hours a week.

The sidebar has everything you need to know. I especially recommend No more Mr Nice Guy and Sperm Wars. And next time you get into an LTR (dont rush) the Married Man Sex Life Primer is amazing (more for us older/committed fellas tho)
